Walt,
I'm very thankful you continue this service and would like to ask you a couple of questions about my long standing and as yet not totally diagnosed condition. I know I have multiple food sensitivites, chronic loose bowels and incomplete digestion, and I maybe reaching here but:
(1) Is there a name for a condition where the stomach does not finish its job but dumps its contents into the duodenum causing problems further down in the intestinal tract? And, if so, what would cause this? Strange bacteria in the stomach that doesn't cause ulceration?
(2) Is LGS the primary reason for the development of food sensitivities and food allergies? Are there archival postings that address LGS and what can cause it, either infectious agents or lifestyle?

Hi, Jan.
LGS, LGS, LGS, LGS, LGS-------------------------
There have been numerous articles about this condition (from the world medical literature) listed on this BB and we have discussed it for years here as well.
It is really amazing that the conventional medical monopoly still is getting away with pretending to not understand this. I have had to come to the conclusion that the only reason can be that we are making too much money treating the symptoms to do anything else.
IT IS NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU TO KNOW THAT THIS IS LGS BUT TO UNDERSTAND THE WHY OF LGS. The only thing that will permanently resolve LGS is dealing with the causes.
Walt

Dear Jan
I have same! Is LGS diagnosed or suspected? For myself it's the latter. Ive had M.E. for 10 years now. I wish us both better.
Dear Dr Stoll
I've some pretty good ideas on causes - It's diagnosis I'm after.(M.E. is insuficient, too generic;unspecific) I feel both are needed for healing.

Dear Walt,
I see Janine is in the UK. I am in NZ and we also used to have a diagnosis called M.E. or Tapanui flu. Basically, it appears to be what doctors called it when people had flu-like symptoms, followed by on-going chronic fatigue. In other words, it was a name for a syndrome that they didn't understand and couldn't diagnose. Looks to me like the same syndrome that is nowadays called CFIDS or Chronic Fatigue, or blamed on EBV.
Correct me if I'm wrong, Janine, but that's my understanding.
Reagrds, Deb

Thanks, Deb!
I will bet that you are right!
We MDs are great about naming things. We seem to think that once we have a name for something it absolves us from dealing with how to deal with the WHY of the condition. This has been discussed so many times on this BB that I hope Janine will take the time to find the information in tha archives to help save me from all that typing again.
