Posted by Amy Sterrett on February 08, 1999 at 22:05:44:

My neice was just dx. with having the Epstein-Barr Virus, and she is only 14 mo. old. The doctor provided the mother
with no information regarding it with no instuctions for any
thing. She has swollen lymph nodes & tenderness in the spleen area. How did my neice contract this virus?, What should we be doing for the betterment of her condition and
will it ever go away? What should we expect? thanks..amy

Dear Amy,

Your niece has to be at the bottom of the "Bell Curve of Immunity" for her to have come down with this VERY weak virus so early in life.

If she were mine, I would understand how important it is to IMMEDIATELY get her started on the healthiest diet, environment, healthy family, etc., possible. This could even help the whole family since it would be most effective if the whole family did it. If this does not happen, this problem is the most gentle thing that will happen in her future. Each new "message" for this little tyke will be harsher and more difficult to deal with.

EBV and mono have been discussed so many times on this BB that I hope you will save me retyping it by looking at what is already here.

THEN, if you still have questions, write again.

Walt
