I got mono about 10 months ago, which lasted for 6 months. I have been healthy for five months, exect for the past two weeks. I just had my blood taken, and my EBV level was at 240. I understand that the "normal" EBV level is from 0-20. My question is what is the highest range of the EBV level, and do you have to have the titers test taken to determine if you have mono again? My appointment with the doc is next week, I just wanted some input right now.
Thank You

There is something of an importance with interperetation of that test.
IgG results indicate past infection
IgM results indicate present activiation of the virus. Keep that in mind when being "diagnosed with EBV". If your IgG is high but your IgM is low, it means you had the virus but it is not active. 80% of the population has been infected with EBV at one time or another. Hope this helps

Thanks, helping!
Katie would be wise to become an expert in this before giving up her life to this condition. The information is in the archives if she will take the time.
