I want another baby!

Posted by Beth on December 16, 2002 at 00:21:47:

I have one daughter who is eight. We have been trying for three years to get pregnant again. I had my daughter when I was 28 and got pregnant on the first month we tried. I had a normal pregnancy with not complications. I am now 36. My husband had three sperm tests. They were fine. The counts were up around 200 with very good motility, etc. I have regular periods and I ovulate every month. I feel myself ovulate and I have done the temperature thing as well as the ovulation predictor kits. The Fertility specialist wants to do all kinds of tests where they fill me with iodine and x-ray me, do laproscopy on my female organs, and take "pinch" samples of my uterine lining. I denied them all because they are so intrusive, not to mention painful. The Fertility specialist gave me a prescription for Clomid but I have not taken it yet. I am nervous because I don't trust taking drugs for anything.

Now, I have also read the entire "Every Woman's Book" and have been following pretty much all of it for the past several months. Nothing. The only thing that I can think of that may be a problem is that prior to my daughter eight years ago, I used to have a 28-30 day menstral cycle. Now my cycle is around 24-26 days. I ovulate around day 10-12 and then get my period around day 11-13. could the shorter cycle be the problem? If so, what can I do. If not, what could possibly be the problem?

Also, is Clomid a safe drug. Given what I just explained, would it even help in my situation?

Dr. Stoll and anyone who has info, please help. I am very desparate. I want another baby!! Thank you!

What do you mean? I don't work for doctors and nurses.

Then you should change your screen-name to distinguish yourself from the one who does. Maybe useyour middle name. The other Beth
has quite a poor reputation here.

I had the same problem. I posted and everybody thought I was the *rude* Mike of the board. I was attacked myself. Don't take it personally at least try not to. Good look with the baby making. =)

Hi, Beth.

BOTH you and your husband need to be doing the "Every Woman's Book for a couple of YEARS to get over this--NOT a "couple of months".

Just because your husband has the "numbers" does not mean that the QUALITY is there. To test for quality, they would have to take sperm from him and see if it could make other women pregnant--something they will not likely do.

ALL ecological research now is showing a drastic reduction in the fertility of all species on the planet for the past generation of humans. Short of moving off the planet for at least 20 years, the only thing known that will help is what Airola has put together.

Let us know how you do. Until the couple of years is up you should just forget about it since a well known syndrome is infertility due to trying too hard.

Walt

Beth,

There are different points of view about infertility and there are different metabolisms and your diet must match your metabolism.

You should go at this link and read an old discussion we had on this site about Airola:
