Hi all,
I have read most of the info in the archives and was wondering one thing. I have read a lot about LGS and everything but I was specifically wondering that if I exercised and did SR (getting to alpha) for 6 months could you basically guarantee my TMJ problems (and TMJ related tinnitus) will go away? Thank you, just wanted to make sure I didn't need to be doing anything else (specifically Dr. Stoll I would appreciate an answer from)

Hi Jim,
Just one point to make. The stool has 3 legs, not 2.

Yes I know that and that's why I'm asking this question...Dr. Stoll always says that the SR is the key and that's why I'm asking the question.

Hi Jim,
I'd like to take a guess at your answer. Each person's condition is individual, so it cannot be totally predicted whether or not you will need to do anything else after doing all 3 legs of the stool for 6 months or 1 year. However, I do have no doubt that your condition will be better.
I think the best thing is to do it and find out! Then you will know for sure!
If you still need further assistance for your TMJ, I would look into St. John's Neuromuscular Therapy. Stretching would also be a good thing to do.
Best wishes,

Hi, Jim.
Listen to Happygal and let us know if you have any symptoms left in about 6 months.

I think you have to do all wellness plus, it would not hurt to get massage and alignment. I am a myoskeletal therapist (massage and alignment) and go to a MT for my TMJ (which has not given me any issues for months now. I would have my neck, shoulders and jaw massaged, then the jaw realigned. I did this 3x per week for 2 weeks, then 1x a week for 4 weeks while doing SR and cutting out any stimulants like coffee. I'm fine now... the gut thing - it's all about cutting out stimulants and wellness also. I was doing "everything" fairly right, not as extreme as some on the board - but cutting coffee really made a world of difference.
