Walt..this makes sense right? Happy thoughts..

Posted by lovebird [15.3291] on August 05, 2008 at 09:59:07:

Hi there Walt:

You have always encouraged me and others with arthritis issues to swim. You were right all along but it took me time to join a good one.

Well yesterday my husband and I took a class in the pool designed for the back.
It was so calming, soothing and the stretches were from yoga and pilates. Just very nice young girl instructor with such a calm voice.

At the end she had us do so mild stretches , close our eyes and think of doing things that make us happy and think of our family and people we love.

I am learning that the body/mind/spirit need to be in balance but paticularly our minds should be on good things. I am finding that TV news is so terribly negative and draining so we have been adding more music in our home and attempting to keep our home environment calm.

It works for us and this makes sense right? In such a complex society with so many pressures we need to guard our minds as we proceed into going forward into better health...oh well just my thoughts for today.

Jordan Rubin was on yesterday filming at a nearby health food store in the country. The original owner showed her husbands' solar home built back in the 50's and they sat and ate a plate of a variety of colors of veggies like red beets etc...

This is all reminding me of my home as a child my Mother always had beautiful, calming music playing and because she was an artist her plates for dinner look like artwork....

I must say I like the old-fashioned things in life.

Hope you are better today than yesterday...ha

Love

Thanks, Lovebird.

YOU have been a positive influence in MY life!

It sounds like your water lady is a gem. Congratulations for having found her.

It also sounds like your mother was way ahead of the curve as well.

I, too, have had to give up on the "talking heads" on the TV. John McCain cannot be as stupid and self serving as the things that come out of his mouth are showing him to be! Maybe after the election?

Namaste`

Walt

Enjoy your political insights Walt! It's a shame Americans weren't smart enough to elect Ron Paul or Denis Kucinich.

Hi Walt,

How do you feel about everyone driving around with under-inflated tires and cars that need tune-ups?

Thank the gods that Obama told us about this simple
solution to the energy prices.
Unfortunately, he is narrow-minded.
See link for an intelligent, concise statement

Wow Paris really made a fool out of him. Still, it was a strange decision for him criticise Paris since she has contributed to McCain's campaign. Not a smart move!
This redeems Paris slightly for me, although I know she didn't write the speech. Still... any criticism of McCain gets a thumbs up from me.

I do disagree with "her" offshore drilling idea however. It will take a decade to get this up and running, and there really isn't as much *extractable* oil as everyone is saying there is. Either McCain is lying, or he's incompetent. Obama's plan is to get America off foreign oil within 10 years. McCain's aim is 2025. It's really not hard to pick the better candidate of these two, but my condolences to those who struggle.

Thanks Walt so much:
We just went up the country road here and bought loads of fresh fruits and veggies from this fabulous farm.
I told the lady I had RA which she could see from my hands and I told her and a irl from Denver visiting about Jan and Boulder and your web site and how eating whole turned my life around

So I a big on you too.

I asked this lady owner for the recipe of her veggie soup.
The husband makes it in huge pots and oh my does it sound fabulous.

The lady encouraged me to take chemotherapy because her M om's RA got better and played piano...give me a major break...the Mom died...

NONONONO and again I said NO I eat whole live foods and then of course I raved about you and even the people from Colorado visiting wanted to know about you and Jan.

I feel very good....thanks coach
I love you too

Well, people should do their research before making claims they get from the mainstream media...we know all the politicians are liars and self-serving anyway.

Great to see we've got an oil expert on this board. Where did you get your degree? What's your experience in this field?

Interesting informative article. Considering that only Congress has the power to spend money, complaining about any President spending money or raising the deficit is misinformed. One must look at what party is in power in Congress if you really want to find the who's spending the dollars.

Thanks, UK!

Amen!

And STILL 50% of the US citizens think they are going to vote for McCain! This is an example of the "dumbing down" of the US that started in the '60s.

We deserve what we get if McCain is elected and the republicans maintain the "balace of terror" in the congress.

McCain CAN'T be that dumb! He is for offshore drilling because he thinks enough citizens WILL be dumb enough to think it will lower gas prices in their lifetime. His hope is that it will help him get elected--nothing else. Talk about "being in the oil producer's pockets". The only segment of our population offshore drilling will help IS the oil producers.

Obama's suggestions about inflating the tires, etc., are the only things that will make an immediate effect.

Walt, I heard the oil co's speaking when McC said, lets drill off shore. With No royalties to pay to foreign countries, which probably isn't much, and why the Iraq oil workers are protesting the sweeheart deal the Co's are trying to get with the Iraq gov, And the Tax Breaks the US gov gives them, it is a Win/Win for them. I wonder how much the co's would be content with making? The sky is probably the limit.

Because my new Subaru had a stiff suspension that was beating up my damaged muscles when driving it on lumpy city streets, I was running the tire pressures 6psi lower than recomended, though they only gave a Fully Loaded recomended. When the prices shot up, I put them 2psi over recomended. Luckily, the suspension and seats seemed to have softened a little after a few K mi, since I don't feel beat up after driving it like I used to.

The essence of what I wrote is mearly to state that we need to avoid negatives at all cost especially when we are reversing an illness.

Fun, laughs and funny ,movies help so much to lift a mood or heart and spirit.
I chose to NOT view horrible TV news about criminals because our minds were just not made to be meditating on anything but good things.

In order for our body/mind/spirit to be in balance we need to guard ourselves and keep positive as we go forward to keep our lives whole and well.
