similar to ocular histoplasmosis

I have been told my doctors in England that I have something this is mimicking the symptoms of ocular histoplasmosis, I have lost my central vision in one eye and have started losing sight in my other eye, I have had two membranes removed in one eye and have been told that nothing more can be done, does anyone know what this is or what causes it? I am 34 years old and am finding it very hard to get any information about it, is there anyone doing research on something similar or is there any new surgery being tryed anywhere? time is running out and my sight is disappearing fast. Please help.

Hi, juju.

It either IS or it IS NOT histoplasmosis. Without an accurate diagnosis (which a good expert should have little trouble making) your sight is doomed.

You MUST have a diagnosis.

Since you are losing your sight anyhow, why have they not stuck a needle into your eye and taken a biopsy and done a fungus culture??? This is a pretty routine examination and would not very likely damage your eye in any way.
