Hi All,
I've been told I have the beginnings of cataracts (cortical-whatever
that means).
I also have floaters and occasionally flashers.
I have dry eyes because a doc had me taking a strong antihistamine
for over 6 months-dry eyes ever since!
I've been doing some research and have come across reports of
home-made eye drops consisting of water or saline solution and pure
MSM. I've also read where some people mix MSM and DMSO.
Has anyone had experience, good or bad, using these protocols?
Thanks,
Mary

HI Mary, I was doing some checking too, as my hubby has cataracts & of course, they get worse 'til you can't see!
I listen to a health talk radio program daily - the product is DanielChaperOne. I take many of their products for my ailments.
The man on the program was discussing cataracts the other day with a man who had had surgery and he was still getting floaters.
I heard Goldenseal mentioned, as an eyewash......Didn't catch it all unfortunately.
They do have a website and you can call a 1-800-# with your questions. It is danielchaperterone.com
where do you live?

L-carnosine eye drops (Carno-See) has been shown to get rid of cataracts. The trouble is, big pharma and the FDA has caught on to this natural treatment and has banned OTC sales. Look for it in a marketable drug coming near you soon.

Mary,
Contact the Rockland Corporation about "Body Toddy" at smarthomb.com and add as many antioxidents as possible to your diet and supplement regimen (Stuff like CoEnzyme Q10, zinc, vitamin C & E and omega 3s.)
Let us know how you are doing in about a year--according to your ophthalmologist.

Interesting. It appears to be available as "Ortho Eyes" at http://www.lef.org
I notice they list the n-acetyl-l-carnosine as an ingredient, just not an active ingredient (even though it IS).

Do you use this product? If so, how's the taste?
Thanks,
Mary

Hi, Mary.
Does not taste good but is diluted in a glass of water so it is not unpleasant.
I am no longer taking it since I have had cataract surgery already. My severe and long standing diabetes did not allow it to forever prevent their prograssion although I am convinced that it delayed it for at least 20 years.

The only thing proven to work for existing cataracts, to my knowledge, is L-carnosine. Look for a product called EyeDeclare, which you can get at iherb.com. There are a few others.
