Dear Dr,
I have had a lot of trouble with my eyes in that they are bloodshot constantly. I have seen several physicians and ophthalmologists, but with minimal results. I have been told I have blepharitis, dry eyes, conjunctivitis, and allergies. I have tried many drops, lubricants, hot compresses and punctual plugs to relieve my symptoms but the redness always comes back and I also have a whitish discharge that accumulates in the outside corners of my eyes, pretty much constantly until I wipe it out. I guess at this point I have spent a lot of money on this problem and I don't know what to do. I feel like the doctors have a great plan, but their results are not there. I am willing to do anything to get my eyes better, but I am not sure where to turn. Any suggestions would be of great appreciation.
Thanks,
William

Hi, William.
With all you have done there is only one possibility that has not been addressed: This is a systemic warning! It means that every capillary in your body is congested just like the ones you can see in your eyes.
Conventional physicians are not taught to look at the body as a whole. If there is not something in your eye they are lost.
You need to see a good Naturopath, Comprehensive Chiropractor or Holistic Physician to work this out. Take this note with you.
If I knew your age, I might have a list of possibilities for you to consider. If I knew what part of the country you lived in, I might know someone personally there who would be competent to see what this means.
You need to have copies of ALL of your medical records at home!
In the meantime, something that would surely help is "Wellness" (see homepage, glossary, search engine or archives) and is likely what any competent physician would end up recommending any way. It IS important for you to know what this means because you need to know what will happen to you (and how soon) if you do not stop the process at this stage.
Let us know what you learn.

I have had the same problem for over 10 yrs as this person describes. I'm currently using an eye drop called Cromylin, it seems to help some, my condition usually gets worse during the onset of winter as I'm from Upstate NY.
Any information would be helpful.

Hi, John.
Low humiditiy will aggravate this (See the article about colds on the homepage.) Allergy is at least part of your problem. Frequently the capillary congestion (indicating total body involvement) will last for a number of years (10-20) before something worse happens.
