Chronic Bloodshot eyes

For about the last year or so, my eyes have gotten progressively more bloodshot. I have seen many doctors who have given me a great range of disgnoses. They range from dry eye, allergies, Giant Papillary Conjunctivitus, Pink Eye...I am devastated, desparate and disillusioned. I have endured numerous eye exams, punctal plugs, drops and etc. I was interested to read the response you gave the gentleman about his similar experiences. You mention that the problem may be systemic and you throw out the term capillary congestion. What exactly is that? Also, can you recommend any Wholistic practioners in the Washington DC or Northern Virginia? Lastly, do you have any new information to add regarding what I can do to lessen the redness

Hi, Patricia.

One of the reasons why all good docs always look closely into a person's eyes when they first see them as a patient, is to get clues to the rest of the body's condition from tissue that is transparent.

IF there is capillary congestion in the sclera (white part of the eye) it is everywhere in the body--not a good sign from a healthy standpoint.

Without knowing anything else about you, I know you would be wise to become a serious student of "wellness". See the glossary and the article on the homepage. Then, go to the archives if you want more information.

Practicing the 3 legs of the wellness stool would not only clear up your sclera, within 6 months, but would make you feel a lot better in all aspects of your health where you thought you were just getting old.

There are many books in any health food store that could help you with this but the above is where I would start.

Let us know how you do.

Walt
