seeing flashing colors like a rainbow before eyes

my husband sees flashes of color before his eyes, and has them often... does anyone have any idea of what this would be

I had this the 1st time in my life some months ago when I juiced and ingested some cilantro. The most probable cause is chemical sensitivity. I got a horrendous migraine after that which lasted 24hrs.

Other causes are retinal detachment and diabetic retinopathy. See a good ophthalmologist and if her exam shows nothing see a clinical ecologist.
