Cervical Dysplasia and Chaparral

Posted by Elaine on October 19, 1999 at 00:06:58:

After trying to conceive for many months (I'm 37), I visited a Repro. Endocrinologist who said I have abnormal bleeding on my cervix and ordered a colposcopy. She suspects the cervical dysplasia I had many years ago many have returned. I've been researching alternative treatments (hoping to protect my fertility) and am considering using Chaparral liquid herbal extract if the dysplasia has returned. (I'm aware of the claims that Chaparral is associated with liver problems if taken in high doses.) Can you offer your opinion on this herb? Also, any other recommendations for alternative treatments of cerv. dysp.?

Hi, Elaine.

The same thing that causes cervical dysplasia also causes infertility. Cervical dysplasia does not cause infertility.
If these statements are confusing to you please write again.

The simplistic allopathic paradigm (From which you have gotten your information so far.) is guilty of ignoring the warning (about a diagnostic fallacy) every freshman medical school student is given: "Post hoc, ergo propter hoc." (After this, therefore because of this.)

By far your best way to get rid of both is for both you and the father to read Dr Paavo Airola's classic "Every Woman's Book" IMMEDIATELY. It is available through the link to amazon.com on this 'site. Of course, reading it will do nothing but give you information. You have to ACT upon that information to make it real.

As you get over both, let us know of your experiences. By sharing, you can help others avoid the trap you have been in. If your docs had just given you this information in the beginning, you could have been spared a lot of hassle and expense. Of course, what would the "poor" docs have done for an income then????

I am not a good enough Herbologist to advise you about the Chapparal. However, your condition is NOT a deficiency of Chaparral. My frequent statement, on this BB, is: "Chronic problems will NEVER be resolved by something you TAKE but by something you DO." There IS an Herbologist on the link page for this 'site.

Walt
