Fibromyalgia

I believe I have fibromyalgia. So far I have gathered that I need to do S/R and order Dr. Stoll's book. I am confused as to whether I need to eliminate wheat and dairy products or whether I should do the elimination diet. Also should I give up caffeine, alcohol, do regular exercise? Any help would be appreciated on this.

hello
doing S/R twice daily helps everyone who does it, even if you dont do it completely successfully.

doing exercise helps everyone too. doing aerobic exercise at least twenty minutes daily is a great help. maybe you will have to work up to that amount (and more later perhaps. it will help !) in aerobic exercise, you work hard enough to raise your pulse to a certain level and keept it there....maybe like 25 beats per TEN SECONDS if you are in your thirties, say.

eating pure WHOLE foods helps everybody too, no matter what is wrong. Pure whole foods do not contain caffeine or alcohol, because these things are bad for everybody.

wheat and dairy are the most common foods that people eat which they are allergic to, without knowing it. (these two are the most common allergens because we eat way too much of them...eating no food more than once every four days is a safe way to go.)

in this beginning of wellness for you, maybe it would be best for you not to get too concerned about the details of differnt diets. Just get started by focusing on eating pure whole foods...nothing processed or manufactured. Eat nothing that will not spoil or rot, but ofcourse eat it before it does spoil or rot...whole grains (brown rice, millet, barley, quinoi), beans (so many differnt kinds, as well as lentils), vegetables (especially green leafy ones; dont rely on the same ones all the time), some nuts/seeds; fish and poultry are good too, but not too much.

first just get used to eating the basic whole foods. this is the easiest way to start. in doing so, you will stop eating processed carbohydrates and sugars. these things are the evil of the modern age ;-). when you drop them you will immediately feel SO much better (more energy, less pain, fewer aches, better immunity, etc...)

then later worry about which diet's specifics to follow.

Boy great advice from Leon. Thanks! Our true nature is to be in-tune and move intuitively and we aren't when we have allowed our head to rule for so long, on what our memory has always told us. The I-ego wanting what it has always had and one will keep getting what one always has gotton. Changes takes a person to a new place and healthier body when one listens with aqn aware mind and asks those who have discovered from there own journey; Can we really move intuitively in our eating and eat what is really healthy without the past influencing the future, this is growth and a change in consciousness; HURRAY OUR PLANET IS GETTING HEALTHIER! IT BEGINS CLOSE TO GO FAR;

Hi, danndone.

See my note, today, about "blowing your nose". That is the diet you would need to try.

HOWEVER, although this may give you quick results, only SR in the long run will resolve the problem. MY book is NOT the one you need but the relaxation workbook!

In the meantime, the quickest (temporary) benefit would be the massage series I have described so many times on this BB. Rolfing would be less temporary.

Let us know how you do.

Walt
