Fibromyalgia(Severe Pain) To Stoll or Anyone

I have had fibromyalgia for 7 years and myofascial syndrome and CFS. To make a long story short I have widespread pain, terrible burning in my skin, racing heart, I think also exhausted adrenals, I am EXHAUSTED!!!. I have studied five years about nutrition on the internet and Mr. Stoll I totally agree with you about the HPA(Axis) I know that mind has been damaged under too much stress. Good and bad stress. I am also tight in my chest wall muscles and have been that way 7 long years. This started happening after I sang at a wedding. I am an acappella gospel singer and that was good stress but for some reason my mind was nervous and I had previously been in a car accident. I think these two did it but I did not get the symptoms until my terrible anxiety attack at the wedding rehearsal, I as much better wedding day. I recently ordered a powdered cal/mag/d/with c in it supplement. I know that I have digestive problems and pills certainly would not work quick with me. I also have low blood pressure, just so much going on. Anyway, do you think that a powdered form might do me some good. I don't have that deep 4 rem sleep either. I am about to start on enzymes, probiotics and a nutritional health powder. The cal/mag fomular I am getting is citrate. Do you think this might help. I NEED HELP AND SOME ADVICE ABOUT POWDER FORM.Thanks in advance for any responses. My e-mail is above if you have any ideas. P.S. I have severe dysbiosis so I have no doubt that I have leaky gut syndrome, parasites and candidiasis. I just want my burning pain to GO AWAY and the tachycardia and the tight very tight muscles.

Tonya, I well know what you are speaking about. I was in the shape you are in about 5 years ago. If I had to do it over I would find me a rolfer or deep massage therpist and go to him first to get temporary relief on the pain and tight muscles. I think this will relieve the strain on your mind a lot. I could not get no relief at first and could not relax, do SR because of pain. When I got temporary relief of pain everything seemed to fall in place. SR worked probotics worked and all things like lgs, tmj, and all over body pain just started to fade away. When I got control of bracing, healing just took over. I had anxiety attack and palpations also. You can get over this. It took me two years of dedication to get control. Good luck.

Thank you, very well said. I too know exactly what you are going through. In addition I have MCS. I am seeing an MD that does integrative medicine. I too, could not relax enough to do SR in the beginning. I started accupuncture and this has helped many things and I have now started to do SR. I have only been at it for approx 6 months. There have been improvements but it is slow going. You just need to stick with it. It is a long road back to wellness.

Hello everyone ,

I am glad to know that S.r works and i hope that you will get rid of the pain once and for all of your Fibromyalgia.
I have a bladdr/urrethra burning ,unconfortable etc and i started doing .s.r a month ago .I also do homeopathy and acupucnture ,so i hope it all helps .
If anyone has any idea on how to do the S.r right (i feel my hands getting heavy on my lap while i am doing it ..is that a sign???)but my mind always has thoughts coming and going ,yet i try to relax and focus on breathing.
Also ,has anyone try the sylva method ????any feedback.

Thank you and please hang in there and keep doing the S.r

Hi, Georgia

The thoughts will come and go. This is very normal, called monkey mind (at least in the worst cases of it). Just acknowledge the thoughts and let them drift away, go back to concentrating on your breathing and/or whatever you may be focusing on.

I either use a short meaningful phrase in my mind or else I close my eyes and focus on am image. The image I use is a red tulip and as I do my breathing I explore the flower, its texture and color and the lovely yellow inner stamen.

When I was first learning techniques I found progressive muscle relaxation to be educational. Start at the top of your head, contract your scalp muscles and then consciously release - feel those muscles relax. Slowly work your way down your body. You will learn how the body feels relaxed because first you will be feeling the extreme of your muscles in tension.

I haven't tried Silva but I'd like to. Has anyone else out there who is reading this? Please share your experiences, if so.

Keep it up, Georgia.

June

a Zen exercise that I have tried may help keep thoughts
away. You work on keeping thoughts out. It was interesting
how it seemed easy for a short period and then they would
come and i would push them out and another would come. I
did this laying down and comfortable which was on my side
for me. This was the way I was when I heard about it on
a show called, Thinking Allowed, that made me try it and the
position seened conducive to trying it. I think being
comfortable makes it easier to work on it and learn. Later
when doing SR it may be easier to do it but I didn't need
it to meditate which i did before practicing this.

Hi, Tonya.

I know that you want results yesterday. I also know that 6-12 months seem like an eternity to you today. However, if you had known to start SR 7 years ago, you would have been well for the past 6 years.

See the archives about these conditions.

I obviously was "Monkey Minding" it for quite sometime, until I was introduced to a woman who held meditation classes for people who were suffering from illness and looking for techniques to help them relax. I found that invisioning a white light entering my body upon inhaling and exhaling whatever was cluttering my thoughts was of tremendous help in my breathing exercises. I am happy to say I now am able to release my thoughts quite easily today. I also found that the white light produced a warmth, a very soothing energy current, as well as a floating sensation that is a very wonderful experience.

Thanks, Lisa.

This is one of the common techniques that help.
