ovarian cyst??-PLEASE HELP

6 weeks ago I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst. I'd been having pain on my right side for 2 months, in various places. An abdominal & pelvic ultrasound were done, and the only thing that was found was the cyst. The sonogram says it's a simple anechioc cyst that is homogenous in appearance, with no free fluid in the cul-de-sac, and is 2 cm big. Does this mean the cyst is solid? Should I be worried. I have an appt to go back to my GYN in 2 weeks. Lately I have really felt bloated in the stomach area. The biggest reason I'm concerned is because for the last 2 years I have had a high sed rate (between 50-95) and no one can figure out why. I've had various body aches that were diagnosed as fibromyalgia (all the other bloodtests came back negative). I also have alot of breast pain that I've had over the last few years. My 2 mammograms have come back ok, but they said to come in every year. BTW, I'm 37 years old with 2 children. Sometimes I feel like I'm FALLING APART. Could you please give me your opinion on what do next? Thank you very much.

Val, just start reading the topics Dr. Stoll has listed on this website. You can click "Symptoms and Diseases" at the top of the BB or use the search box. As you look at "leaky gut syndrome", "skilled relaxation" and "whole food diet", you will see you have been in a battle for your health without any ammunition. Check out costochondritis, as well.

Hi, Val.

Listen to Sally.

Since your examination showed no free fluid in the peritoneal cavity (cul-de-sac), it is very unlikely that your "cyst" is causing you ANY symptoms. My guess is that if you have it surgically removed, before it disappears by itself (what happens to most of them), it will make no more than temporary placebo relief of your symptoms.

Your report says, specifically, that the cyst is NOT solid and has no solid parts. It is the responsibility of the physician ordering the test to explain the result to YOUR satisfaction and not just to HIS.

The only explanation I have for your sed rate is your fibromyalgia diagnosis. What have you learned from the archives?

The chances are that you ARE falling apart at your tender age. Next year will be worse until you finally learn enough to protect yourself and reverse the process (wellness).

Walt
