broken digitus quintis on the left and right manus

I was born with two broken digitus quintus. I wanted to find out how I could have possibly broken them. What do you think could be the cause of being born with two broken pinkies? They work perfecly fine. Also, I wanted to know if I wanted to correct them by braking them and setting them back into place, would they just form back to what they have always been. I have been told that yes, I could correct them and have them in a form of a cast for a long time, but eventually they would grow back. Do you agree to that statement? Thank you for time, I would apperciate a respomse ASAP.
Sincerly,
Jessica

Hi, Jessica.

Thanks for my first grin of the day.

If your pinkies were just broken, rebreaking them will result (if properly splinted for 6 weeks) in their healing to normal fingers. If, however, they were deformed at birth, breaking them will not cause them to not be deformed when they heal. They will just go back to what they were before they were broken again.

Hope this helps.

Walt
