All 84 volunteers were boosted against peanut allergy. At the start of the test none could eat more than half a peanut without suffering a reaction. After the test some volunteers survived from 9 to 24 peanuts without a reaction. The drug is a preventative and must be taken regularly for life. But progress of the drug might be stifled as 3 companies claim exclusive rights to it. An interesting side note in one article describes a connection between peanut allergies and baby rash creams containing peanut oil.

This is just another exsample of The Medical Establishment trying to "Put It To" the general public once again! What a smart idea to make more money! Lets inject a toxic chemical into those individual's, who are experiencing allergic reactions to a toxic item (peanuts) so they can continue to ingest this toxic item, without experiencing such an adverse reaction. This way we, the pharmaceutical companies make more money, as well as our rich brother's in the food processing business and even the consumer's are happy because they can now consume this toxic item (peanuts), regarless of the detrimintal effect that both of these toxic items are produceing on their health. Why didn't I think of that? * S.H.A.P.E. *

I have this deadly allergy and although I don't plan to eat peanuts; it would be nice to not live in fear on airplanes etc.
I suppose you have to have the problem to understand how life threatning this can be. It is so scary if you have a child in school with this problem as most people don't tend to take it seriously. I am so sensitive I react if peanuts are even being eaten around me. I spent my grammar school years eating lunch in my classroom on the days they served peanut butter cookies. So, for those of us with the allergy it is a huge break through.

have you ever heard of N.A.E.T. allergy ellimination. this is a procedure done by an accupunctorist to elliminate allergies. I have done this and it works. I all of a suddens a year ago came down with several allergies. The most serious being motrin which caused my face and throat to swell. I can now take motrin with no allergic reaction as well as many other things. Most people like your self who may have had close to death experiences would never even desire a peanut but like you said you can fly on a plane worry free and you would not have to worry about eating out at restraunts.
p.s. SInce i have come down with a great deal allergies I have done much research and in learning how peanuts are the most highly allergic and deadly of any allergen, I find it appauling that they do serve peanuts on airplanes. Our troops dropped peanutbutter sandwichs in Afganastan and I thought that was weird as well.
Let me know what you think

Hi, Kim.
Of course you know that peanuts have only become so commonly and so highly allergenic since the frankenfood phenomenon started. Peanuts were one of the first foods altered genetically.
