Bacterial DNA helps IBS,IBD

Posted by guesswhat on April 30, 2002 at 06:23:45:

Researchers in the United States and Israel have found that mice inoculated with fragments of manmade bacterial DNA gain temporary protection from inflammatory bowel disease, a debilitating form of intestinal distress.

Germ DNA has previously been shown to promote protection from allergies. But the latest work, reported in the May issue of the journal Gastroenterology, is the first to suggest it might help with gastric irritation, too.

Thanks, guesswhat.

Eventually, all genetically related conditions (already numbered in the hundreds of thousands) will be resolved by this exact process--or, more likely, by viral DNA carriers.

It is exciting to se that this is that far along. Everything is happening much faster than any of us could have imagined.

Current statistics continue to affirm that about 25% of chronic conditions are determined by the genome and 75% of the genomic expression is determined by what we DO with our lifestyle. SO, most of our health is still under our voluntary control.

Namaste`

Walt
