HELLO, MY SISTER-IN-LAW WAS DIAGNOSED ABOUT A YEAR AGO SINCE SHE HAS HAD ONE RADIATION TREATMENT WITH A PILL AND IS INDESPERATE NEED OF ANOTHER WHICH SHE STILL CAN'T AFFORD
HERS IS ONE OF THE RARE ONES SHE HAS WEIGHT GAIN. HER EYES ARE BULGING HER FINGERS TREMBLE, SHE EATS FREQUENTLY, HER HEART RATE IS VERY FAST. THEY SAY SHE NEEDS SURGERY TO CORRECT IT. WHAT ARE YOUR IDEAS ON THIS IS SURGERY A GOOD IDEA AND HOW MUCH LONGER CAN SHE WAIT FOR ANOTHER RADIATION TREATMENT FOR IT TO WORK. SHE IS ONLY 26 YEARS OLD. IS MEMORY LOSS A FACTOR?

Hi, Sandy.
You are, apparently, on the wrong board for this. This board is about reversing the causes of Grave's so as to obviate the need for either radiation or surgery--and, incidentally, avoiding all the lifetime consequences of those treatments.
If either of you are interested, go to the archives about Grave's and let us know what you learn.
Walt

Dear Sandy,
I have grave's disease and have made great strides by following the suggestions in Walt Stoll's book. Don't be discouraged. Please have your sister read the archives on Grave's Disease, and get her a copy of the book. I have had all the symptoms your say your sister has. If I were you I'd start reading before another RAI treatment.
