i have been diagnosed about 3 months ago with hyperthyroidism although my dr.isnt treating it yet she wants to play the waiting game.she did do an ultrasound first after the blood work came back showing hyper...the ultrasound back in june showed 3 nodules 3mm 5mm 7mm were the sizes.she stated that they were to small to do a fna..so she wants to wait.well about 1 month later in july (early) i found a lump in my neck on my jugular vein on the left side that is where the nodules were found.this lump today is still there. it is very hard and the size of a large pea.it doesnt move around.i went back to my dr and she ordered another ultrasound and did more blood work.my blood work came back that i am sill hyper..but now my white blood count was low.i havent been able to get in for my ultrasound yet.but i would like to know what this lump could be any idea please post back i am really freaking out.thank you very much.

Sounds like you NEED a new doc. Second opinion. Go to about.com, mary shomon's thyroid site. Post your ? on forum.

i was never diagnosed with grave's this lump is new it came out after i was diagnosed with hyper....and never went down.thanks anyway...i'll go to another site......

Lauren,

The only reason I mentioned the Grave's archives is that ALL thyroid conditions have the same basic cause.

When you get tired of "skipping through the tulips" come back and do your homework.
