Hi Dr Stoll, I was reading on the National Graves Foundation Board that this disease can cause organ damage and possibly death. Is it foolish (or life threatening) to try alternative treatments? I've also read that this disease can reverse itself but that RAI will never give it the chance to. Just how dangerous is this thing?
Thanks,
Mel

Thanks, Mel.
Graves can be a serious disorder! That is all the more reason to actually deal with the causes. Nothing dealing with the causes would interfere with any conventional, medical management and, so long as nothing irreversible (surgery or RAI) is done, it is your best way to at least enhance the effectiveness of that very medical approach.
