I have a few patches (dime, quarter size) of red skin on my scalp. THey are thinned out of hair. They itch a little, don't seem to be raised, don't ooze, or crack. I'm assuming they could be due to the two things I do (regrettably): pluck gray hairs, and dye my hair. Should I be alarmed? Or, deal with my gray hair?!
Thank you.

Hi, Sue.
I think you should be proud of your grey hair. In many cultures it is a revered mark of wisdom and maturity.
Next, I would suggest you see a professional before you are bald. it may not be too late to save your old grey head :o).
Let us know what you learn and how you do.
