10 year old losing hair

Dear Dr. Stoll,

May 10 year old grandson is losing his hair. We have taken him to several doctors, Internal Medicine and Dermatology. The dermatologist referred him to a Psychiatrist with a diagnosis of compulsive disorder. We(the enitre family)do not believe that diagnosis applies. He is not pulling the hair out. Everyone is watching him closely. The first sign of hair loss was about 2 months ago, in the crown area. Just prior to the hair coming out it becomes dry and brittle. The loss is now moving forward across the top. There is a history of male balding on both sides of the family as early as 25. But this pattern is not classic "male pattern baldness". The dermatologist did not think it was diet. But, I'm open to anything at this point. Thank you in advance for your response.

Hik Pat.

Serious wellness (Home page for a free protocol "How to be Healthy") may well resolve this. Besides, taking something like the whole foods concentrates (see the supplements archives) will speed up the process. Get "Meditating with Children" by Deborah Rozman (your library can get you a copy.

Let us know how he does.

My son had this problem. As discribed, he had a bald spot in the middle of his head , at the crown My very enlightened GP diagnosed stress and diet . We improved his diet and by very discrete questioning tried to reduce his stress levels Also we just talked about his baldness as something that would be gone at the end of 2 months and it was!(the power of positive thinking?) Hope this helps

Dr. Stoll,
Thank you for your response. We are following your instructions. He is now taking Whole Food Supplements with every meal and not missing his daily vitamin. He is the type that stresses about things and takes everything to heart. So, we are working on helping him learn how to recognize when he stresses, while using alot of TLC :) I can see the improvement. He even looks better. The hair is coming back and the area of loss (so far) seems to have stablized. Thanks again... :)

Lee.......
Thanks for your response. 2 months seems about right. We noticed the hair loss early in November...and it is coming back now. I believe the Whole Foods Supplements are doing the job. He seems to feel better in general. Thanks again for your support.

Thanks, Pat.

From what you are saying here you really need to add "Meditating With Children" by Rozman to the mix for permanent results.
