Gina, Biotin is good for skin and hair..Also make sure you drink 2 quarts of water per day and remember it will take about 4 weeks before you see some improvement..Silver Fox!

Hi Gina, yes you can take silica complex, biotin and omega 3's. I'm not sure about making your hair grow faster, but these certainly will help the condition of your hair.

I think that if you eat a balanced, healthy diet and have enough minerals and vitamins, your hair should be strong and long. You need sufficinent amount of oils like olive, avocado and grapeseed for your hair and skin to be healthy. Just avoid foods with anything atrificial and the foods that are overly processed, try to eat natural foods and have enough fiber ( at least 25 grams a day ). An overall healthy diet and exercise will assure that all your body parts will be in peak condition, not just your hair.

Since slow metabolism as in hypothyroid causes hair loss, possibly speeding up your metabolism could increase hair growth??? See what Walt thinks.

Listen to Sally, Luba, Barb & Steve and do not forget the omega 3s.

However, you also need to rememnber that it does not help to have the nutrients in the blood if it cannot get to the hair roots. Chronic bracing of the scalp muscles is the most commonly missed factor in that delivery sistem.
