Dr. Stoll,
Right now I'm on day 1 of another agonizing headache. I tried the hot arms, but all that happened was I ended up out in the snow itching until I was red and swollen from heating up my arms.
Someone mentioned to me today that my headaches seemed to begin about 3 days before each full moon. Is it possible for there to be a connection like that?

Dear Tony,
If you did the hot arms for 10 minutes and still had any headache, this is a purely muscle tension headache.
It is likely that there IS a relationship between physiology and the full moon. However since there is nothing you can do about the full moon, I would suggest you put your efforts on things that you CAN influence.

Dr. Stoll, thank you for ALWAYS leading us back to the bottom line! What always seems so intriguing to us is usually just a diversion from having to do SR. :-)

Thanks, Lana.
You have said it as clearly as it can be said. We ALL would like to find SOMETHING----ANYTHING to do rather than the discipline of SR. When that IS the "bottom line", this struggle is called (by those of us in the business) "wiggling on the hook".
Namaste` Walt

yes there is very possibly a connection, especialy so if your natal chart, and its aspects, is particularly responsive to the moon, and or has a lot of water in it; however S-R can only help - and you may need to do it more at full moon and at your own moon phase - 3 days before full moon is a very powerful building up time
SR cure all?

Dr. Stoll,
Believe me, it is music to my ears when I hear what I need to do is SR to relieve my conditions. At least I know that I can do something, and I am more than willing to do it. I am definitely not trying to find something else to blame my conditions on in order to avoid doing SR. My problem is that it seems to me to easy that all I need to do is discipline myself to do SR. I always feel there must be something more difficult or out of my control that needs to be done.

Dear Tony,
You would profit greatly by reading Dr Pelletier's classic: "Mind as Healer, Mind as Slayer" (most recent edition). This would answer ALL of your questions you still have in your mind as well as many you still don't know to ask.
THEN, if you still have questions (Who wouldn't?) write again.
SR is not a cureall for everything. However, in this culture, it is the most commonly overlooked (by the conventional medical system) solution to many chronic conditions for which we MDs have no answer.
