Dr. Stoll:
I wrote about my 11 year old son last December. He was the child with very low hGh levels, obesity, food allergies etc. We have since found a holistic MD in Tarrant Co. His methodology is not something I'm familiar with. Anyway he has found heavy metals in Matt and started a detoxification protocol with DMSA and homeopathic drops. The levels detected were very low (some actually within the labs norm), but his feeling was there should be no Mercury in your body. Now the problem. Matt's health has been terrible since December. He has had influenza, strep, digestive problems (probably flu), and now headaches. 6 days after starting the DMSA he developed crippling headaches. Our doc took him off the DMSA and is doing nutritional support (vits and the like) and homeopathic remedies. The headaches are still very severe. Has anyone out there had any experience with DMSA in children, or DMSA and headaches?
We are going back for more tests/meds for the headaches today. Any imput would be appreciated.

Dear Pam,
You need to detrermine if these headaches are throbbing or steady. If they are steady, a good Chiropractor, masseur or Rolfer, etc. is your next step. If throbbing, go to the homepage of this site and read about "headaches".
Your present doc should be able to explain what is happening. If not, he is missing the structural elements of this condition and (like most of us) still has a lot to learn.

Thanks for the input. Matt's headaches are (were) constant and unrelenting. Update: Yesterday right after I posted my note I made an appointment with my chiropractor and a recheck with my holostic MD. My MD felt very strongly that Matt's internal systems (liver etc) couldn"t handle the amount of heavy metals that were released. He added Vit B's and Mg (dose loading till loose stools) to the homeopathic drops and vits we are on. My chiropractor said his atlas was extremely out of alignment. Matt also went into a sound chamber my chiropractor has set up while I talked with the chiropractor. Couldn't believe the laughter and overall appearance/demeanor change that occured. The headaches did return with a vengence in 30 minutes; but the severity was lower. This morning they are barely perceptible.
I am pleased that both my MD and chiropractor are accepting of one another. They both have different resources into which I can tap.
Have you ever heard of a sound chamber, its use, mode of action, etc.? I need to read more on this subject, bioelectronics is not my strong point.
Finished your book. It is very reaffirming to read. Have now purchased the Meditating with Children book. This is one area I have not looked at. Did stumble upon a net site for teaching children to meditate via stories. Will keep everyone posted. Pam

Sounds like you are on the right track. If you have the time, and the interest, to get started learning about biomagnetics, you would be very interested in Dr Richard Gerber's book in the bibliography of my book: "Vibrational Medicine".
Let us know what you learn. ALL of us are just scratching the surface of this vast (and barely begun--from a western paradigm), neglected area. Our bodyminds are not only biochemical (allopathic paradigm) but structural (Chiropractic) AND vibrational (electromagnetic, etherial vibrational, etc.) upon which all healing paradigms EXCEPT ALLOPATHY are based.
Those in the know have said that the 21st century will be the era of vibrational medicine and I do not doubt it.
