Dr. Stoll,
I have read your archives but can not find your story on your hemeroids. I would really like to read it.
I have a hemeroid that seems to always be there but not always irritated. Last week, I lifted something, and my hemeroid swelled big time. I also have one right above the other and they sting pretty bad. I push them back up but when I look (as fun as that is)they dont stay up. They are small and pink, not blue.
I realize I need SR and to keep the bms soft. I do not want surgery after what I have read about this. I am in my 30s but got a hemeroid as young as 19 when I was on medication and working on my feet as a waitress. I wish I knew then what I know now from this site.
I did not realize that lifting would cause my hemeroid to worsen. I have so many symptoms of bracing, it is ridiculous.
I just wanted to know, how do I know if it is an internal hemroid that has protruded or an external.
Thank you,
Jhem

Thanks, Jhem.
Did you ever file something where you would be sure to be able to find it and then find it has disappeared? YUK!
I, too, could not find where I had archived it. SO, my punishment will have to be to do it over.
Beginning in medical school, accelerated in my internship and finally in full bloom my firet 5 years of practice as a small town FP, I suffered from severe hemorrhoids. By the time I was in practice I was going to the emergency room every few months to have an acute, thrombosed hemorrhiod opened by one of my colleagues. Each time I was told that I needed a total hemorrhoidectomy.
However, since I had assisted in the surgery of a number of my patients who had had a hemorrhoidectomy and then cared for them post-operatively, I vowed that I would NEVER have that done to me.
Finally I began to learn the role that being a "tight-ass" had to do with this condition and began learning SR. Within 6 months my hemorrhoids were totally gone and have not recurred for 40 years.
Hope this helps.
Walt

Thank you!
I am sorry to have given you a "punishment"! At least I am not the only one who can not find it!
I hope to recover from these darn things as you have, they hurt so badly! I am sure I am a "tight ass"!
