I have an internal hemmoroid that I am treating with prescription cortisol and the doc said this hemmorod was causing my constipation-can this be true? Am really miserable with both and not sure what to do. Sorry the minerol oil did not work for me.

There are two products that I suggest which will help with both constipation and hemmoroids:
FIBERBLEND (a powdered product which taste very bad but works great)
To Order Phone: 1-888-999-8860
Cost $30.00
CORRECTIVE-A (a capsule)
Phone: 1-800-538-3988
Cost $20.00

In addition to S.H.A.P.E's recommendation, I would increase the amount of vegetable fiber in your diet. Raw vegetables, cook vegetables, and juiced vegetables with some of the pulp added back. Also, make sure your water intake is sufficient. Lastly, fats like olive oil, coconut oil, cod-liver oil or fish oil will help to lubricate your colon and make bowel movements easier. You should also cut down (ideally eliminate) on dry foods and flour/sugar foods
Exericse, especially walking, is great for bowel elimination. Abdominal exercises as well. If these suggestions don't work, look into the possibility of impaired thyroid function. Lastly, and I should have mentioned this first, chronic bracing slows down intestinal transit time so do yourself a favor and get going with your SR at least 2x per day. That covers most facets here. Take Care

Thanks, Concerned.
You gave me my first belly guffaw of the day: The hemorrhoid caused your constipation, indeed!
Next, it is impossible for the mineral oil and metamucil combination (I do not recall recommending mineral oil alone for healing hemorrhoids--although it is possible that just lubricating the stool would do some good eventually.) NOT to work.
The constipation caused the hemorrhoid, not the other way around!
The only POSSIBLE help the corticone cream can be is to reduce the inflammation of the hemorrhoid. It will do nothing about the hemorrhoid itself!
What kind of doc are you seeing anyhow-=-an ENT specialist?
Still grinning,
Walt

He finds your doctor funny; not your situation.

He is so right and not laughing AT you. The way you stated it was funny. Constipation causes hemorrhoids because I have one, not hemorrhoids causing constipation. LOL You better check your Drs. credentials. Maybe he made a mistake. Ask him, Id like to hear his answer.

Constipation causes hemorrhoids, not the other way around. Drink lots of water and use a fiber supplement every day. Preferably one with both soluble and insoluble fiber. You're constipated because your body is storing junk that your body doesn't need. You need to detoxify it. The insoluble fiber, I believe, is the one that helps to carry all the impurities out of your blood, helping with liver function and the soluble helps your body get rid of the toxins collecting in your digestive tract. Could be vice-versa, I'm not sure. Either way, both are important. So is eating less sugar, salt and carbohydrates.
