I am not sure why this print is so big....I don't seem to be able to
change it. Oh well..
It has been awhile, and I am sure there are those that aren't glad
to see me on here, but I wanted to share something that has
changed my life. I read that you aren't doing so well, and that
your symptoms are slowly worsening from the diabetes. I really
hope that you will take this information to heart, no pun intended,
and try this, if you haven't already.
I worked myself to near death to get my home ready to sell. I did
all the work myself due to lack of money, and by the time I moved
I was once again, terribly depleted and my immune system was
once again shot. I believe I told you at one point in time that I
have herpes simplex II, and have been having outbreaks more
than ever ever since the car accident and high stress level. Even
after I moved, the outbreaks didn't stop and I had zero energy,
with major dark circles under my eyes. I got my diet back
together again, and found another wonderful suprise.
I have stumbled upon what is not a cure, but an amazing
treatment. Coconut oil. Pure and simple. I have been
experimenting with it for 3 months now and here are the results.
From the moment I began ingesting it and using it on my face, I
had zero outbreaks. None. My skin looks amazing as well. The
oil has also gotten rid of several keratosis (sp?) on my face. I
eat approximately 2-3 tbpns/day. I know it seems like a lot, but it
isn't. I don't use any other oils at this point, other than those that
occur naturally in my whole foods. And, once in awhile I still eat
my dark chocolate. After reading "the Coconut Oil Miracle," by
Bruce Fife, ND, I got a clear picture on what I needed. In the
book, he describes how coconut oil apparantly kills viruses,
bacteria, fungus....and that his studies (and other's studies) show
proof of the viral loads in herpes and HIV patients dropping to
nontransmittable levels. There was one patient that went to a
tropical community before he was to die from AIDS. He was
basically a walking corpse. But instead of dying, he ate with the
natives, and they treated him with their coconut medicines and
he ate their diets filled with coconut meats and oils, and he came
home 35 pounds heavier and seemingly on the mend. He had his
viral load tested. It had dropped to nontransmittable levels. He
still does well to this day. He had found a way to basically stay
alive and live well.
So....I tried this for the herpes. Success for months! Then I went
off it to see how long it would take to have another outbreak.
Two weeks. Boom! And it was a bad one with a lot of weakness
and numbness up my entire left side into my neck and face.
Immediately I took a tablespoon. WITHIN THE HOUR, I had about
1/4 the symptoms. I took two more that day, and another the next
morning. I took more that afternoon and evening. By the second
day, the outbreak was basically over. The third day, it was gone.
Usually an outbreak like that will last at least a week for me, if not
longer, with major symptoms the entire time. All of it, including
the one stupid little sore that resulted from all that agony, was
gone in three days.
So....I can't go off it. It seems that as long as I am on it I am fine.
The other benefits are amazing as well. My handling of sugars is
so much better, I cannot even express the difference. My energy
level soars, and my weight stays down.
I am writing this to you Walt, to let you know that I did some
research on this oil and diabetes. I am not going to say that this
will cure you, because I am certain it won't. I am very hopeful that
it might very well help you greatly as you deal with this situation.
In the included link is an explaination, probably info you are
already aware of.
In my research last night, I stumbled upon an article claiming that
studies were done in the Phillipines using the oil to treat AIDS and
HIV infected patients. The results were so profound that the
country is now using the oil to treat the patients, with great
success. Not a cure, but a very effective way to treat deadly
diseases, including diabetes.
The two acids in the oil, capric and lauric acids, are the heros.
We are in terrible need of this saturated fat. It keeps us healthy
on so many levels.
In my studies, it became apparant that the US government was
quite aware of the benefits of coconut oil back in the late 50's and
early 60's, right around the time the soybean industry began to
explode and saturated fats were blamed for the explosion of
heart disease and obesity. They shelved the info. Fife brought it
off the shelf and has exposed the killers. That is what it boils
down to, they were killers for money. Nothing new to you, I know.
I could go on and on, but here is one site to read with just a dab
of the info I wish for you to know. If you should be inclined to
read it, make sure you click on the "more" button at the bottom,
so that you can read the most important part of the article.
If you already know about this, and have tried it and it didn't work,
please let me know.
I wish for you more energy and to feel better while you are on this
earth. I hope that this oil can help you as it has helped me and so
many others.
With love and admiration for all of your work
Dawn

DD Baby!! Where you been ??? Good to see you back.
Interesting about the Co Co Nut oil. I was thinking about Kid Creole and the Coconuts the other day.))
Always interesting when you find Simple cures. Maybe I should try some cayenne flavored coconut oil.... Might go good with my oatmeal and cayenne that sounds pretty good right now.

Hi dd! What a story! I'm so glad you found a solution to your health problems. I may rethink trying coconut oil or caprylic acid, although they both give me horrible die-off symptoms, which probably means I need them. Have to start out slowly.
I, for one, have really missed you on the bb. We used to have so much fun. I'm so happy to see you posting again. The link is very interesting and thought-provoking. Thanks for that, too, even though it was meant for Walt.
I hope you continue to be well. Keep us posted. There are a lot of us here who missed you!
All the best,
Naya

hey dd,
nice to see your post.
thanks for the info. it is always better to get some feedback from a person with a board history so people can tell it is not some bs marketing program using the bb. I am sure you inspired some people to try it out.
glad to see you are doing better. "This too has passed" to bend what nietzsche said a little...or was it Bloatman who said that? ; )
Looks like you may have caught the top of the market on selling your house. good job!
be well,
Sounder

Hey Sounder!
I squeaked out at the top of the market, and just in time. If I had
been able to get the house ready a month sooner, I may have
made a bit more, but I did really well.
I am loving Oregon. You still here?
The coconut oil is pretty amazing. I did experience die off, mainly
aches and a headache, but those pass after about a week of
starting the oil. I just simply can't go off of it. It will be a lifelong
pal. I have grown to really like the taste and the texture.
How are you? I thought about contacting you, but I have been
really involved with family since I have been here, and loving it.
Time to start working though. I tell you, I could go forever without
working again if I could afford it. It is a real treat to not have to
run off to a job. I haven't taken the gift lightly. I slept like I
haven't slept since I was a kid when I first got up here. It really
became clear that being overwhelmed with responsibilites is not
good for our health. Rest and fun are great healers!!!

Hey girl! I missed you too. It was good to take a step away from
the board though. I probably won't post much anymore. It is
better for me to stay busy with life.
I know what you mean about the die off. I just jumped right in to
2-3 tbsp/day too. I should have worked up to it. I got major body
and headaches, swelling of the muscles, and a slight fever for a
few days the first time. This second time, again I jumped right
back in and got major headaches and body aches again, mainly
in my shoulders. This is where I have issues from the accident
and from playing. They have gotten better since I am not playing
at all right now. I wanted to give them a real chance to heal,
finally. After about a week, the symptoms went away, but during
the die-off, it really was hard. I just wanted to sleep, even though
I had energy. It was not fun.
Maybe you should try it again, one tspn/day for awhile...maybe
even spread out in 1/4 tspn doses. And eat it with food. Then
maybe the die off will be tolerable.
How are you doing these days? The last I remember, you were
having some real issues again. Any better?

Hey Vince!!!!!!!!!
I missed you most of all, Scarecrow!!
I put the oil in my steelcut oats all the time. I miss the butter, but
the coconut oil is so much higher in the acids. So....
Cayenne....coconut oil.....oatmeal......hmm....that would be a very
interesting combo! Try it and let me know what you think.
How are the doggies and how are your feeling these days.

Hi again. I'm doing about the same. Ups and downs, but never normal. For the past few months I tried adding things to my everlasting anti-candida diet and now I am paying the price. Back to the drawing board. I guess that's why the coconut oil hit me in the head. Caprylic acid, as you probably know, is an antifungal, but it really knocked me on my ass when I have tried it in the past. I think I'd start out with a quarter of a teaspoon of the oil and go from there.
I'm glad you're enjoying your life now. It's good to know you are still there and doing fine.
Be well! Hugs!

hi dd
great to have you back! was wondering what happened to you, and was going to email you a few days ago.
that coconut oil is excellent. i use it topically on my scalp and it works wonders! I have a problem taking it internally though. i seem to get a rash from it.

I've tried cayenne, cinnamon, cocoa, and other things in the oat meal. They were all OK, but nothing grabbed me.
Doggies are gone, and only have my snapping turtle left. Keep thinking about geting more animals of all types, but want to wait till I move, if I can and do.
How's the music coming? I heard an old song on an on line show, and thought it was an old recording, because it sounded live, and thought it was an old direct to disk recording. It was a NO jazz band.

I did NOT know about this. let us know if it continues to work.

Hi dd...thank you for such an interesting post, and congratulations on
your improving health!
I wanted to ask you about coconut oil, vs. coconut milk. I am just
crazy about coconut milk, but when it comes to consuming the oil, it
kind of grosses me out. Maybe I should try sneaking up on it, the way
you advised Naya. But, do you think using the milk instead of the oil
could achieve similar results? I guess quantity might be an issue,
along with calories, though.
Also curious about the claims that coconut oil helps with weight
loss...has this been your experience?
Thanks again, it's good to hear your voice again...

Hi Bliss,
A late congrats on being somebody's "mum." I hope you are
having the time of your life.
Why were you going to email me?
The coconut oil took a bit of getting used to. At first it kind of
grossed me out. I have been a fairly low fat girl for many many
years. I think the rash you are getting might be a die off reaction.
Did you stay on it for awhile? I got some bumps and itchy
patches on my face. The skin on my chest became reddish and
itchy, and the skin on my face actually turned kind of leathery on
one small patch for about two weeks. I also had the head and
body aches. All of it passed though. The leathery spot became
soft, and the itchiness went away. I do believe it was die off since
it is a major antifungal.
Maybe after baby gets bigger, you can try again! How is it being a
mommy?

Hi Mary,
Nice to hear from you as well.
I have not had much of a weight issue during my lifetime. A few
ups and a few downs, but minor. I haven't gained any weight
from the coconut oil being added to my diet, but I eat a lot of
oats, which seem to help keep my weight down. If I don't eat the
oats, it goes up a bit.
In the coconut oil book, Fife says that you can get the acids in
any pure form, including the milk, but I think it really matters how
it is extracted. You should get the book and read it, or study it
online. I can't tell you about whether or not weight gain occurs
from the milk. The oil is 100% saturated fat, and I don't gain
weight from that. It is supposed to help your pancreas and your
thyroid functions. Hence, that is why some people supposedly
lose weight. My thyroid is right smack down the middle of normal,
but I notice a big difference in how I feel energy-wise and can tell
that my sugars are being processed much better. I don't have
any lows anymore, which I did experience from time to time after
eating carbs...especially if I ate processed sugars. I really try to
avoid those for the most part. I don't do well with them at all.
I hope that helps! I hope you are well!

Hi dd
i didn't know motherhood could be this rewarding. I feel like the luckiest mum alive to have such a wonderful baby. He is crawling everywhere, touching everything, starting to stand up, and soon he will be walking. a very happy baby. Listening to him chuckle and laugh warms my heart. I play his mozart music for him (*Like right now) and he loves to look up at the stereo, and starts cooing and talking to the music in such a sweet way. it's so adorable, dd
Anyway, I could go on and on about him, (I am totally besotted by him!) :) but I would rather you not fall asleep on me right now. lol. Are you still thinking of becoming a mum and adopting one day???
anyway, you are probably right about it being dieoff. I hope so, and hope its not that I am just allergic to the coconut oil taken internally. hard to know tho the diff. between an allergy to it, and die off? anyone know how to tell the diff??? weird thing is it works so well topically applied to my scalp
so I haven't been brave enough to continue taking internally, bcause I just took it as a sign of being allergic and stopped.
and right now, because I am breastfeeding my son, I am trying to keep any detox or candida dieoff to an absolutel minimum as it can translate into the breastmilk.
I had put a post on the board a while ago, asking about you, because it had been ages since I saw any postings from you. I was gong to email you to see if everything is ay okay.
Glad to see you are doing so well now.
Best wishes
Maria
