Should I cook if I have a cold sore on my mouth?

Posted by Herp on March 14, 2002 at 14:05:33:

I was at the store and forgot to put a bandaid on my cold sore ( I have a scab on my lip now) and when my finger accidentally brushed the clerk's hand she quickly wiped her finger off. I didn't know what to say. I wish I'd worn a bandaid, but they keep coming off.

I was going to back shortbread cookies for a class I'm in tonight but now I'm having second thoughts. Is this contageous? I don't want to put everyone in a ackward situation. I told my kids about what happened and now they're saying they won't eat anything I cook now, either.
Am I a danger to my family?

Hi, Herp.

HOWEVER, do not kiss any babies on the eyes!!!!!!!!!!!
