I have been taking ginger juice for a week, and it is slowing helping, had scope about 2 years ago,Dr. said that I have acid reflux and hernia, I want to know if coffee is a no no, I drink two small cups a day,under stress with my elderly Mother,also need to loose a few pounds in the upper stomach.How often should a person have the scope?? Taking caffeine, when trying to resolve things like LGS (which has to be present for you to have what you have) is like pouring gasoline on a fire you are trying to put out.
Endoscopy has only a little risk (perforation of the esophagus) and so you can have it as often as you think you can tolerate it and your doc will DO it.
Of course, it is a diagnostic procedure and does nothing about treating it or curing the causes.
