my boyfriend also has a hiatus hernia and i'm looking for anything helpful in treatment that does not involve surgery.

Hi, Kelly.

The solution to his problem is on this BB if he is willing to learn. The only catch is whether he is willing to learn and to DO what he learns---not whether it will work.

Go to the glossary, homepage and archives (in that order) and learn about stress-effect, bracing, SR, hiatus hernia and LGS.

If he is TERRIBLY overweight, he will also have to lose some weight for permanent resolution.

THEN, if he has more questions have him write again.
As he gets over this, I hope he will share his experiences with this BB so others with similar problems will be helped.

This is an unnecessary problem.
