Dr Stoll,

I have been studying the BB board now for some time.
I have been diagnosed as having a Hiatus Hernia since I was 20. I am now 28. My problems have been getting worse and worse.
I am busy with the Ginger juice at the moment and now I seem to have realised that this is a stress problem and not so much a problem with my stomach. Since taking the ginger the acid burning sensations have gone but I am now very aware of how tense I am all day.
(Did anyone else experience this whilst taking the ginger)

I read here many times connections between GERD,LGS and CRS. How can I determine if I have the Leaky Gut syndrome or Candida related syndrome.?

Hi, Chris.

You cannot have GERD without having LGS first. All the stuff on this BB about LGS and its causes are valid for finally resolving the GERD. C-RS is a complication of LGS so you may have that too but that is not neded for you to have GERD.

The only thing that I have ever seen, to totally resolve GERD, LGS and C-RS in the long run, is the regular practice of SR.

Since stored stress-effect is the most common cause of the above complex, and EVERYONE becomes more aware of their body whenever they start getting healthier, you fit in that catagory as well.

Dr Stoll,

You say that GERD can be resolved totally using Skilled relaxation. Does that mean if I can master the SR then eventually my HH will be gone or just the GERD and LGS?

Is it possible to cure what so many "so-called" experts keep telling me is a physical problem using the SR?

And if once you eventually get to that point does that mean then one can do the things which most HH sufferers are stopping themselves from doing ...ie chocolate peppermint, coffee, etc. Or is it overall a way of living with the condition.
Please enlighten me. I am on the road but would like to know what lies at the end of it.

P.S I would like to thank you and the BB and all the contributers in the help i have had through your and their experiences and wish you all a Merry Christmas.
It has been such a relief to at last find a Dr who is not
writing another 'repeat' and telling me to live with it!"

Hi, Chris.

The literature is repleat with instances where SR & Imagery have resolved the most heinous of physical conditions. Your question tells me that you need to increase your awareness of the now well known fact that you cannot separate the mind from the body in any meaningful way. There are many references in the back of my book that would open that door for you.

Unless your HH was caused by severe blunt trauma (like an auto accident or something of that force) that ruptured the diaphragm at the site of the gastro-esophageal valve, there is no doubt that resolving the LGS will also resolve the HH.

I envy you your journey of exploration! You have many exciting eye-openers to come as you do this journey.

The day will come when you bless your HH for having made you take these enlightening steps.

I hope you will share your excitement as you progress.

Namaste` Walt
