Ginger for Acid Reflux TESTIMONIAL

Hi All-

I've been a lurker on this site for years and post discoveries every now and then.

I'm a singer and have had awful problems with reflux, to the point where it's really affected my voice. After tackling some diet and stress issues, my husband and I finally broke down, bought a really nice juicer and have started ginger therapy.

We are both so happy with the results. I noticed improvement after one week. It's been a month now, and my symptoms are completely gone. Hubbie is improving too and is definitely more interesting in living healthier. I am not using this as an excuse to go back to a bad diet, but I do let myself have a sweet treat every now and then. Even better, my high notes are clearer and easier to hit than they were a month ago. BONUS!

I know you probably don't have to buy a $250 juicer to juice ginger, but I'm now using it for other things too, and having a BLAST! We're looking into making our own pasta and nut butters.

Thanks so much, Dr. Stoll. Your website has made our health and lives better in ways we could never have imagined. Cheers!

Cara

Foods that give gas will not do so if ginger is added to them or you can have it along in pickled form. The simplest ginger pickle is to cut pieces of ginger in solution of vinegar and salt. This lasts for months! Infact in countries like India ginger is a daily food in either cooked or pickled form.

Hi Cara,

I was wondering if you and your hubby both
developed Acid Reflux within a few months
of each other?

Was there some physical happening that seemed to
precede the acid reflux? Car accident, severe
bouts of coughing during some illness,
Lifting very heavy weights too often,
natural child-birthing with a lot of heavy pushing
(you in this case)?

Hi Ron-

My reflux went undiagnosed, probably since college (I'm 35 now). No precipitating incident, just me eating and drinking lots of things I shouldn't, and doing it WAY too fast. I'm a VERY fast eater, something I'm working on.

My hubbie's developed more recently and over time. Age is catching up with bad lifestyle there. :)
