ginger juice treatment

Posted by aussie observer on March 26, 2001 at 18:55:35:

Dear Dr. Stoll

I have been on the ginger juice treatment for three weeks now and unfortunately have not improved. I have been using a garlic press and taking two teaspoons daily on rising and waiting 1 hour before eating. Not sure where to go from here. As I mentioned initially I have not been diagnosed with hiatus hernie but do have incredible tightness in my throat and occasional reflux. I think I have tried just about everything over the past two years. Gastroenterologist did endoscopy and colonoscopy. Found only mild inflamation of the stomach and put me on propulsid, zantac and then losec. Have been to a homeopath who gave me course of drops and tablets for parasites. Finished the course and no better. Chiropractor advised ileocecal valve problem and worked on that for some weeks. No success. G.P. has no idea except Losec. Have you any further suggestions?

i have been thru the ringer with gerd. here are a few things that help. gaviscon, is best for heartburn,it creates a foam barrier. also, alot of times, the tight throat is anxiety,or post nasal. any inflamation of the esophogus can cause this also. wait for dr stolls advise, but try gaviscon.

Hi, Aussie.

This means that your stress-effect storage is directly causing your symptoms and not the GERD. GRJ only deals with symptoms directly caused by GERD.

See the archives for bracing, and SR.

Let us know how you do.

Walt

to Dr. Stoll

Thank you for your follow up. I will give it some thought.

Stress has been a factor in my life over the past two years but I thought I was on top of it. Theory being we all have to deal with some stress or other. I will focus on SR. Have not been able to get hold of your book in Australia. Ordering over the net concerns me. Will pursue health food store contacts to see if they can import it.

Hi, Aussie.

Call my home at (850) 747-8669 and I will get the publisher to send you a copy. Airmail to Australia costs $9 (3-5 days). Regular (surface) takes an average of 9-12 weeks but is LOTS cheaper.

OR, you can do it by email (less expensive and more convenient for me). My home email is waltstoll@panamacity.com

Walt
