Treating arthritis and GERD, naturally

Posted by Tim [14481.9917] on September 24, 2011 at 17:33:40:

Hello,

After reading Dr. Stoll's first book ("Saving Yourself from the Disease Care Crisis"), I applied a some of his teachings with dramatic results:

Firstly, as I've wrote on this site before, after being misdiagnosed with a bacterial sinus infection and being prescribed two rounds of antibiotics (one broad-spectrum), my esophagus, throat, and chest were burning pretty much 24 hrs a day. I couldn't sleep. I was given proton pump inhibitors by my GP (Nexium, and Tecta), and got a severe allergic reaction to both of them (severe abominal pain and hives, respectively). I was struggling, losing weight and hope, and came across this site. After following Dr. Stoll's recommendations of taking pure ginger root juice each morning, my acid reflux was GONE in three weeks (as he confidently suggested would happen). I then dove into reading all his books (am reading "Beyond Disease Care" right now - amazing book, bet yet!), and am completely committed to practicing 3LS. I've seen amazing results and have never felt better, but I'll save those details for a separate, 3LS testimonial.

Second case was my Mom, who also had chronic acid reflux, and was receiving little help from her GP. She also had terrible arthritis, and had large blisters forming over her nuckles. The arthritis, in particular, was really impacting her quality of life. She also followed the ginger root juice approach for her acid reflux, and within 3 weeks all symptoms were gone. As I also read in Dr. Stoll's book, one of many recommendations for arthritis is a minimum of 2000mg combined EPA and DHA per day from fish oil. Within 2 weeks, the blisters began to disappear! It's been over a month now and they're almost gone, and she's feeling very little pain. She continues to improve. She no longer needs to take celebrex (which causes kidney damage), and will likely cancel her scheduled surgery to remove the blisters. Note that both approaches employed by conventional medicine simply mask symptoms, and even cause side effects. She thinks it's an absolute miracle that we've so drammatically turned around her arthritis in a matter of weeks, with something as simple as fish oil! She's also very surprised about the vanishing of her acide reflux. I told her that there's an underlying condition that's causing all this, as described by Dr. Stoll: leaky gut syndrome (LGS). I'm now hoping she'll follow the recommended treatment for that.

Lastly, my friend's Mom had struggled with chronic acid reflux for months, was getting NO help from GPs, and was on Nexium. She had an allergic reaction (hives), and was seeing little improvement. She started the ginger root juice protocol, and within 4 days her symptoms were GONE!

Truly amazing that such simple and safe approaches can bring about dramatic reversal of these chronic conditions, whereas conventional medicine has virtually no answer, and even makes the patient's conditions worse through prescribing drugs with side effects.

I feel very strongly that for the sake of one's health, and for that of their loved ones, everyone should learn about Dr. Stoll's teachines...and if possible read his books.

Looking forward to giving further updates in the future.

Tim.

Tim, you are obviously one of those who listen and learn and your mom is teachable as well. Wonderful quality and look at the rewards.

Thanks, Tim.

I am SO glad that you were able to read Doc Walt's books and get such dramatic results for not only yourself, but also others. Congratulations to all three of you!

I'm so interested to read the 3LS testimonial that you promise.

Now that Doc Walt has crossed the rainbow bridge, your post gives me hope that we can keep helping other people with his teachings, with the Stoll Foundation for Holistic Health keeping everything (website and books) going.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience, which is giving me personal encouragement to keep moving forward with the Stoll Foundation!

Best wishes,
Jan

going off dairy made my arthritis disappear

for me, giving up dairy got rid of my arthritis that I had from age 19-30. In retrospect, some arthritis comes from inflammation and food intolerances can cause inflammation, so I guess it makes sense.

I've often read the advice that people with arthritis should avoid the nightshade vegetables- potatoes, tomatoes. eggplant, and peppers.

Note: sweet potatoes and yams are NOT in the nightshade family.

Hi samm,

Wow, I just read this post. That is powerful news, that going off dairy made your arthritis disappear. What kind of arthritis did you have?

Did you notice any affect from sugar on your arthritis? How about the nightshade veggies?

Thanks and best wishes,
Jan
