i have noticed that when i am hungry or need to have a bowel movement, the itching gets worse. is it related?
my dermatologist told me no, but i'm nut sure.

Dermatographia is your skin's signal that you are right on the edge of your cliff. When one is there ANYTHING can trigger "falling over the edge". Start with the home page article about stress. If you REALLY want to get into it, read "The Second Brain" by Michael Gershon, MD, PhD (Available through your library.)

We allopaths are not taught to think this way although EVERY other healing paradigm in the world knows that this is the way things work.

In MY opinion your doc is to be pitied rather than castigated.
