Iridology Exam

Posted by PeggyH on October 08, 1998 at 03:06:16:

Hi Walt,

I'm getting a little freaked about my liver but not sure if I should be. (You know, I have UC and have been working on the 3 legs of the health stool.) Well, this doctor was giving free iridology exams and checking your organs through your meridians (I'm not well-versed in this stuff, so excuse me if I use incorrect terminology) so I got examined. The only organ that was in the normal range was my gall bladder. Everything else was functioning too high or too low from normal, but the only ones he was fixated on were my liver and bladder. I don't have problems with these things, as far as I know. Also, I have several of those small red spots (hemangiomas?) which you once said had something to do with the liver. What do they indicate about the liver?

If these organ systems aren't functioning well wouldn't it all tie in with the UC and, therefore, with continued wellness practices shouldn't everything fall into place? I don't know if I should be alarmed about what he said and if I should pursue some further testing on my liver or bladder. I feel perfectly well, by the way.

I live in Long Beach, CA, do you (or anyone else on BB) know a doc around here who could help me with all this stuff?

Thanks for any input,

Peggy

Peggy,
I found a great iridologist near Modesto. She comes highly recommended. Doctors in town refer patients to her. She has many nurses as patients. She has been practicing iridology for over 20 years and also has a doctorate in nutrition and a degree in cancer prevention. My sister in law was diagnosed by a medical dr. with colitis, soon after she found this iridologist. She told her it didn't look like colitis but a parasitic problem. My sister in law had to fight to get her dr. to sign an order to have a stool test done and sent to Great Smokies Labatory (Dr. Stoll talks about this lab in his book). Sure enough, her tests came back positive and my sister in law with the iridologists help have just about completely healed her throught diet, herbs and vitamins and skilled relaxation. I drive 2 hours to see her. Takes about 6 months to get an appointment. If you want her name just ask. I have had a hyper thyroid for 6 years, I've been taking what she told me to for 7 months now (see my post hyper to hypo. It tells the story). Teri

Iridology, Graves . . .

Teri,

Yes, I already read your other story. I copied it to send to a friend whose mother has Grave's. Although, her mother won't do anything about it. She believes that the state of our bodies is unimportant, earth is just a temporary stop and all that matters is the afterlife. Oh, well.

I had my Great Smokies stool test a year ago and found lots of fun stuff. I've been learning from this BB since July and working on things. DIET, undoubtedly, is the most difficult part. Ulcerative colitis is different from just colitis.

Who's the iridologist you speak of?

Thanks,
Peggy

Hemangiomas

I mentioned hemangiomas in my above post. I believe that's what I have. I got a bit confused cuz I was looking it up on the Web and found pictures of terrible facial deformities which is not what I have. I have several tiny, slightly raised, red dots on different parts of my body which I understand to be blood vessels. These other sites I browsed all say that these dots are harmless and it's unknown why they appear, and, well, I don't trust much of anything I read on conventional medicine sites....

Hi, Peggy.

How long have you been doing the "3 legs of the wellness stool"?

People with UC always have a lot of stress on these other organ systems and they DO recover in the same time I have mentioned many times before.

So long as you are doing what reverses this, and you are feeling well, I would just put these findings in my home chart & do nothing else till I saw the limits of my recovery.

I am not an expert on California geography. If you can tell me of some other close communities, perhaps I could help more with someone there to see in consultation. How far are you willing to drive?

Dear Peggy,

There are venous hemangiomas, cavernous hemangiomas, capillary hemangiomas, etc. What you have described are capillary hemangiomas and look bright red and are like little spiders.

Conventional medical paradigms say that none of the "unrelated" organs of the body are connected with any other. Therefore skin or capillaries could not have any relationship to liver, etc. WHAT FOOLISHNESS!

Just this year it has been discovered that the brain endorphins are duplicated in the gut, heart, lungs, etc. I predict that it will be eventually found that all organs make & use these substances previously thought to be the exclusive province of the brain. EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED TO EVERYTHING ELSE (the holographic paradigm rules).

Walt,

I've been practicing "wellness" since late July. Diet is the only thing I have not done 100%.

Long Beach is in the Los Angeles vicinity to the South. Disneyland is just a few minutes east in Anaheim. I'm also surrounded by Redondo Beach, Huntington Beach, Santa Ana, Irvine, Orange, Costa Mesa, to name a few. I love to drive, so distance isn't a factor.

Thanks,

Peggy

Dear Peggy,

Since you have not done the diet 100%, you have to be suffering withdrawal. That subtracts from the total benefits you would be seeing if you were "perfect". However, the only reason to keep THAT in mind is so you will have a more realistic understanding of how you SHOULD be feeling by now.

You need to congratulate yourself on what you HAVE done. It is just that your wellness will take longer to show itself. As you do feel better, perhaps you will find enough energy to finally DO the diet perfectly and see another boost in how you feel (at that stage it would only take 4-7 days.

Call Julian Whitaker, MD or David Tang, MD (they work together) at 4321 Birch Street #100, Newport Beach, CA 92660, (714) 851-1550. If their waiting list is too long, they should at least be able to tell you who, in your area, would have similar expertise.

Let us know how you do & keep up the good work!

Walt

Capillary Hemangiomas and the Liver

OK, so what is the link between them and the liver, i.e., what does it indicate as being the problem with one's liver?
Thank you.

Dear Ben,

The last I heard, it was thought that they had something to do with detoxification of estrogens which is done in the liver. If they are not conjugated properly, the product somehow causes capillary hemangioma.
