Testimonial: Homepathic help for UC

Posted by Steve A on May 15, 2003 at 16:30:50:

Have had chronic UC for 7 years. Was on Rowasa enemas and Asacol. Flare-up about 2x/year, but usually felt lousy year round with MANY food intolerances. Saw an NMD 10/2002. Gave me homeopathic Phosphorus and did some body talk. What a difference!! Although I think the Asacol/enemas put out the flare-up then, having had a couple of doses of Phosphorus, I had not felt as good since before getting UC. Virtually all the food intolerance disappeared within days and I was able to maintain a remission for about 6 months. Put on 20 pounds. What a great feeling!!

Unfortunately, I am now in another flare-up. Homeopathic Phosphorus is not working this time. Have also tried Sulphur, Nux-v and now trying Mercurius Vivus. Homeopathy claims to have a remedy, the tricky part is finding the remedy that works for you.

Anyone with similar experience? What worked/didn't work for you?

Hi, Steve A.

Homeopathic remedies can be very powerful but I still have found that chronic conditions like UC are never permanently resolved by anything one TAKES but by something one DOES.

Have you looked at the LGS archives carefully?

Walt

Dr. Stoll,

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I have read the LGS archives a couple of times. So much info that it can be quite confusing.

- I am quite fit.
- Do not seem to have candida.
- Diet could be much better, problem is fruits and vegetables set me off even more when flared up. Even have to watch them while in remission.
- Have tried SR in the past, but not long enough. Looks like the best thing I could do is to re-establish an SR routine?

Do you agree?

Yeah, Steve.

I agree.

Everyone is different but it does seem that SR is the one thing that is missing for you.

The main thing is that it cannot but help you. Remember the holistic truism: 'The thing that the individyual is least likely to do is usually the most important thing he needs.'

Let us know how you do.

Thanks, I tend to avoid SR because I just can't seem to get into a relaxed state. Have gone to stress management classes and get relaxed really quickly listening to a nice monotone instructor. Can't seem to do it on my own. Any suggestions on a CD?

Here's one for you. A few years ago I visited Principal Finacial Group in Des Moines, IA. They have a meditation room off the main lobby. Just walking in their causes relaxation.

Don't have the workbook. Found info at this site:
http://www.guidetopsychology.com/autogen.htm

and this reference at amazon.com: Autogenic Training: The Effective Holistic Way to Better Health

Also found a website to download an autogenic sound generator.

Any of this familiar or are you thinking of another workbook?

Thanks again

Thanks, Steve A.

The workbook I am speaking about includes autogenics along with at least a dozen other approaches. It is listed in any discussion about SR on the 'site. Look at the home page article.
