Estrogen

Walt:
It has been my "choice" not to take estrogen replacement. I have never had any problems during or after menopause (am now age 64.) I "feel" extremely healthy right now and hardly ever have a cold or the flu. I walk 4+ miles at least three or four times a week, eat LOTS of fresh vegetables, lots of milk and yogurt, and hardly any sweets. But I am wondering, should I be taking any vitamins since I'm not taking any estrogen replacements? If so, which vitamins and what dosages for how long of a period of time? Thank you so much for your reply.

P.S. Just received your book - it is SUPER - no one should be without it!

Thanks, Doris, for your kind words about the book.

A significant % of women do not lose all their hormones when their ovaries hit menopause. The adrenals produce estrogen for those lucky people and do a better job than we yet know how to do with oral dosages. It sounds like you are one of those lucky people.

So far as the supplements are concerned, you want to become an expert in antioxidents and phytochemicals. They are the main things we are learning about that have to do with the retardation of aging.

Go to your healthfood store and ask for books published in the past year or so. OR ask at your library for the same things.

Let us know what you learn.

Walt
