My name is Stacy and I am 20 years old. I had a molar pregnency when I was 18. After that i was put on the pill. I have no insurance so I have never had a complete pap smear. So therefore they would not give me anymore pills until i did so. I have not had my period in 3 months but when i was on the pill i had one every month. Can you please tell me is there any over the counter meds or do i have cancer can i still have babies. I am very worried. The health dept can not see me for another 3 months. Can you please help me. I am very scared.

Thanks and May God Bless,
Stacy

Stacy,
I didn't have insurance for a very long time. I was 17 when I had my daughter. I am 23 three now. Usually when you go to a doctor and have no insurance, they can give you a courtesy, which means give you the service for a very low cost. I think it would be wise to make an appt. to see a GYN and pay cash. I did that for years to have my daughter immunized. Have you ever had a normal period w/out the pill? What is the condition you said you have?

Hi, Stacy.

Go to the archives about hormone imbalance (explanation) and then go to wellness [what to do about it] (also homepage for free protocol) and let us know what you learn and how you do.

Dear Stacey,
I can relate to your fear. Although I usually have very regular periods, once in my youth I experienced missing my period for 3 months. It was really scary, but I now know that the fear actually contributed to the problem.

I was fortunate enough to meet an understanding gynaecologist. He helped me make the connection between my symptoms and a period of uncertainty in my life. Instead of giving me some hormones, which could onset the period (he said he disliked that method), he asked me to relax, as he couldn't see anything wrong with me. He did take some blood tests, and found out I was very deficient in iron and some other minerals.

Luckily I was able to trust him, and I did try to relax. An guess what - after 3 days I got my period. The mineral therapy helped as well. Looking upon it now, I can see that at that time I was seriously undernourished, and had great sugar addiction. Plus I was going through an uncertain period in life. But I did experience more hormonal problems before I realised this.

My periods continued to be regular, but each time I was concerned about something (pregnancy for instance) it came a couple of days late. I learned that fear can influence my body very strongly. Hence the importance of relaxation. But I have also learned that I tolerate poorly the common stimulants such as caffeine, alcohol or sugar. Consuming even a little makes me very quickly anxious or angry, frightened or depressed… While I can't tell you why some people react in such a way, I can assure you that if you happen to be one of those people, it is best to keep away from stimulants.

What Dr. Stoll maybe tried to tell you is that it is so important to learn as much as possible about the underlying causes for hormonal imbalance. There is a lot you can learn here, but there is one problem: if you are in a state of fear, you won't be able to learn much.

Although I am not a doctor and certainly not an expert, I doubt it very much that you have as serious condition as cancer. If you have ever read information on cancer in female reproductive organs, you would have learned that absence of bleeding is not a symptom – irregular bleeding, on the contrary might be. But no point in taking one symptom and interpreting it right away as something serious.

Please try to overcome the fear. If you manage to relax, it will be the first step to the recovery. Secondly, try to educate yourself on how to live in a health-promoting way. The sooner you do that, the better – chances of recovery are so high at your age.

Hope this helps

Sonja

Thanks, Sonja.

The old story of couples who tried for years to get pregnant and finally gave up and adopted a child--only to get pregnant within months--is very true!

This even happened to the couple next door to me while I was still in medical school.

Female emotions, especially, are directly tied to their hormone balance.

Namaste`

Dear Walt,
how I sometimes wish this weren't true!
I would be perfectly happy without that strong connection and without all the fluctuations and the rest of the package :)

regards,
Sonja
