Hello. - - I've noticed a large whitehead on my forehead that appears to be deep under my skin, (not yet on the surface). I know from personal experience that you should let such whiteheads resolve themselves, and to not pick at them which can cause scarring. - - I'm wondering if you have any suggestions as to the best way to help speed the process along? Should I use over the counter topical acne medications? Will that improve things, or just delay the whitehead from resolving itself? Any 'home remedies' that might speed things along? I have a big social gathering to attend to in about a week and would like to get rid of this thing. (I'm 40 and can't believe I'm asking the same kind of questions that I did as a teenager. Oh well.) - - Thanks for any & all of your suggestions in advance, - -

Try some tea tree oil on it. It should dry it right up.

Hi, Jeffrey.
Listen to Naya.
I would also sterilize a needle and prick the center of the white. Then use gentle pressure to press out any easily extrudable material. THEN, immediately, start the hot compresses (see archives for protocol).
Let us know how you do.

I have done as you suggested and am looking forward to see what the results will be. But, after using the hot compress things are already progressing much better than what was 'usual' for me before. Amazing ! :)

Thanks, Jeffrey.
I have become convinced that the reason simple things like this are not routinely taught in Kindergarten is that it would cut too deeply into physician's incomes!
Namaste`
