Dr. Stoll, true or false, a woman that has sex with a man who has an uncut penis is proned to yeast infection, BV (Bacterial Vaginosis), Trichomoniasis, and other vagina infections a woman can get? The reason I ask is because someone in the medical field told me this is true since a man with an uncircumcised penis collects bad bacteria in the foreskin area. Do you know anything about this? Could this just be another medical myth?

Chas,
Don't you think that guys wash? circumsized or not? Everywhere that skin folds (externally anyway) you learn to wash. Then all those nasty
conditions that you listed don't happen. That someone in the medical field must
be the janitor in the bulding where the real doctors work.

Is there anyone else on this board that thinks this Chasity
is making up things as she goes along? I thought he/she
was a fraud from the beginning. I remember being a virgin
at 20 and I would have DIED before I would have discussed
any of this in public, with strangers. Along with Chasitiy
comes MODESTY. I have seen you discuss many conditions
and problems, an innocent girl(you claim to be) would not
be aware of, much less give advice on. You can't have it
both ways.
Don't you have any FRIENDS to discuss these private matters
with...or your mother, or a doctor?

What a JOKE!
It is BS!
It IS a ritual mutilation of most precious ERROGENOUS sensitivity zone !!
"The practice of circumcision rests on the absurd premise that the only mammal in creation born in the condition that requires immediate surgical correction is the human male.” Thomas Szasz, M.D.
The assumption that circumcision is inevitable at some later time is a myth. This fear is unwarranted. In Taking Care of Your Child, the authors state “The overwhelming majority of uncircumcised boys never develop medical problems.” There is a less than 1% chance that circumcision will ever be medically necessary. If only one out of a hundred boys will require circumcision later, why then should the remaining 99 be automatically circumcised?
The foreskin, commonly believed to have no purpose, actually has numerous functions and all of them are eliminated when the foreskin is removed.
Circumcision is irreversible. Healthy, functioning tissue is amputated from a helpless baby. Many have taken the position that the procedure is a human rights violation. The question is whether parents have the right to consent to an unnecessary procedure that has lifelong consequences.
New evidence demonstrates that the foreskin and
lysozyme may protect against HIV infection.
Lee-Huang et al. report that lysozyme is also an effective agent for killing HIV in vitro.
Laumann et al. report that about 77 percent of adult American males are circumcised. 4 Thus, these circumcised males have no sub-preputial wetness and no lysozyme protection. Laumann finds that circumcised men are slightly more likely to have both a bacterial and a viral STD in their lifetime.4
World Health Organization data show that the incidence of HIV infection in the United States is four or more times greater than in any other advanced industrial nation.5 Other advanced nations either do not circumcise males or have a very low incidence of circumcision compared to the United States.6
Chao reports that a circumcised husband is a risk factor for HIV infection amongst pregnant women in Rwanda.7 Grosskurth et al. find a higher incidence of HIV infection in circumcised men in Tanzania.8
The high incidence of HIV in the United States and its correlation with the high rate of circumcision has been noted by Storms9 and Nicoll. 10 Furthermore, Tanne reports a general epidemic of STD, including chlamydia and HIV, in the United States.11
Moreover, Fleiss and others report that the increased friction and more vigorous and prolonged thrusting required to achieve orgasm with a circumcised penis may be more likely to cause "breaks, tears, microfissures, abrasions, and lacerations through which HIV in semen can enter the receiving partner's bloodstream."12

Today, many Jews are questioning circumcision and opting against this ritual.
From medical point of view the physician today has a duty to discourage ritual circumcision and to refuse to perform it for purely humanitarian reasons.
The Doctors Opposing Circumcision (D.O.C.) is committed to stopping RIC.
In all studies to date, the risks of circumcision have always exceeded any alleged benefits, a fact that often is not made clear to parents." Circumcision and the Code of Ethics, George C. Denniston, M.D., M.P.H., Humane Health Care International, Vol. 12, No. 2, April 1996.
"Study provides further evidence that circumcision for non-medical reasons may be a mistake." The Chronicle of Urology & Sexual Medicine, Routine Circumcision Questioned as Prepuce May Have Special Function.
Many insurance companies since mid 1980 no longer provide coverage for routine infant circumcision and there are hospitals that refuse to perform it because there is no medical indication. “We feel medical procedures should be for medical reasons...” [Pantell] Some hospitals refuse to perform RICs without any medical indication.

You were in need of professional help then.
Discussing things on this board is much different from talking to strangers on a street. Do you see her leave her phone number, address, or real name and social security number. You obviously don't make this distinction. I think you would still benefit from professional help. I bet you have sex with your cloth on. That is... if you do have sex.

First off, I never said I believed any of this stuff about uncut men causing infections in women. All this is stuff I heard from a first year resident at this local hospital. He has just become a doctor and we discussed this issue. Now, I won't put it all on him, I heard in the past this same myth. I don't believe it though not even if he said so because he is new in the medical field and he doesn't know everything nor does any other doctor in this world of medicine.
Thanks MAI for the information, knowledge is power.
Incredulous, you must think I'm stupid. Just because I'm a virgin don't mean I'm stupid. Maybe you were a stupid virgin and maybe you're still stupid for saying such ignorance, but don't relate my life to yours because this is a new day baby. And what do you mean you thought I was a fraud from the beginning, what have you been doing, following me around this board??????? For crying out loud, how can you say that by me being 20 I'm not suppose to talk about stuff like this? Is not this a discussion board lady/man? I have talked about HyperThyroidism(because I have it), rib pain, high blood pressure(because I have it and take meds for it), boils, cyst, skin discolorations, burning sensations of the anus, and etc. and you have the audacity to say a SWEET INNOCENT GIRL shouldn't talk about health related topics?
What do you expect I do, go play with barbie dolls all my years of being in my 20s then finally experience life not knowing about different health issues then becoming seriously ill not knowing what's wrong with me and not knowing what to do when I can come here and share health issues and know what's going on with my body! You are crazy if you dare suggest such stupidity, I'm 20, not AN IMBECILE like yourself!
Now your dumb ass is trying to start a witch hunt, well baby off with my head then because I'm going to continue to discuss health realted issues and if you're just going to point fingers and say people are frauds (by the way, how can you be a fraud on the damn internet) then you need to get off this board and seek a psychological evalution!
To whomever is the mystery person, I'm not baiting anyone, I come to share and take in ideas from you all. If you want to be with Incredulous with this witch hunt, then you need a psychological evalution too! I can't believe I'm even wasting my time talking to y'all numbskulls. And y'all call yourselves adults, you're more like 5th-graders picking on the new kids.
By the way Incredulous, why don't you learn how to spell my name idiot!!!!!!!
Thanks Prince, at least you overstand where I'm coming from because I swear some of these ppl on this board are retarded! I think they are just being allowed internet access in a mental hospital. LOL!
Thanks Tsar.

Well honestly I didnt read the other posts about this subject ... its late and there was too much color or pages and pages of things ...
This is what I know about circumcision
The old testiment in the bible talked about having it done. Later as sceince cought up with the bible it was thought to prevent bacteria etc from growing in that area of the body. I also remember learning in school that there are some possiable sexual misfunction related to still having foreskin ie can cause problems at times. Also from my understading is that that area of the body isnt as sensitive as it is as when you get older. Then when you normally have a child circumcised.

I dont necessarily agree with the premise that people wash so therefor you wont get added infections if you are not circumsized.
Again from what I learned in school there was a predisposition that you could get infections or what have you if you were not circumsized. Sure if you were a good washer or had good genes then maybe it wont affect you as much.
My family has a history of heart disease; that doesnt mean I'm going to get it; but I probably have more of a chance of getting it if I dont watch myself.

I don't think not washing is as much a problem as not
drying an are where skin folds and if someone sweats there
there could be problems and then some people have sensitive
skin.

Hi, Chastity.
It really depends upon whether the man has been taught how to keep himself clean or whether his parents cared enough or thought that this knowledge was congenital.
The foreskin must be retracted with EACH bath or shower and cleaned just like the rest of the body. If it is not, then all these infection problems definitely are more common. Of course, the child might have been taught and told and just did not listen or believe. Lord knows THAT happens often enough in many things!
Now that routine circumcision is becoming a medical no-no, this body hygiene instruction is going to have to be relearned all over again by the public.
None of us would think of purposely not washing under one arm pit forever when many men think NOTHING of avoiding washing under their foreskin forever. YUCK!
Hope this information clears things up for everyone.

Why the hell are infants still routinely circumcised? THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS. Are pediatricians going against their own professional body, the American College of Pediatrics, by recommending this barbaric procedure to their patients (parents)? Or are the parents the idiots who are requesting the procedure for their male infants? WAKE UP, AMERICA!!

This country despite financial resources is still VERY primitive.
The Values are placed only on money.
This is all this country has to offer.
It is a typical COWBOYS mentality supported only on tradition for violance.
It is insulting for the traditional cultural and family values.
So why they do it?
Because money can be made from procedures, despite NO common sense.
People believe in what they are told, no time to do the research or think independently. Some are to busy to think, they do their stupid jobs 8am - 8pm.
With some exceptions NO family tradition either.
The "plastic values" are well visible in contrast with other more traditional and intellectual cultures.
Money decide about POWER!

No it is NOT only matter of EDUCATING people!
In hospitals you have BRAIN dead people who routinely develop standard practices.
One of such is POSTING on new born cribs the forms "PURCHASE ORDER to circimcise" newborn as a matter of ROUTINE without consent and/or contrary to parents instruction!
In my case I almost caused COLLAPSE of HOSPITAL administration after I ripped off such unlawfull autorisation (despite previous WRITTEN refusal to circumcise) from the crib of my new born 2 hours before scheduled procedure supposed to be performed, and immediately bringing an attorney to hospital!
The hospital administration defended "class act" as a ROUTINE STANDARD PRACTICE performed on ALL newborn!
It is all done to increase hospitals cash flow as YOU are billed for it if you agreed or not!
Also they will NOT release the new born from hospital if you do not pay the collateral portion of medical bill over cost assigned to INSURANCE - refused "Bill me". This greed is dictated to obtain money FASTER than customary billing time of 30 days after receiving the bill (usually within 2 weeks after leaving hospital).
The hospital has a set of forms which are provided for each new born and brainless personel is filling them as a matter of routine practice.
If form is declined they throw it away, and if OTHER person notice it is missing they will reinsert a blank, which than is being ONE more time filled by another brainless hospital employee (usually RN in charge).
This consist what is called "Standard of care" by hospital administration.
This practice has not changed for past 20 years in many hospitals!
Imagine such order issued to circumcise new born ... GIRL!
Yes this happens!
From amputations of wrong legs to performing surgery on wrong patients it is a mess!
Should any other profession act with such incompetence
the heads will be rolling ... But DOCTORS have their powerfull LABOR UNION (AMA) first to PROTECT, than to serve (doctors!).
"Buyer be aware!"

24 yrs ago I defied the hospital, and refused many of the procedures they were insisting on, including circumcision of my infant son.
It's terribly depressing to realize that not much has changed in the last 24 years: hospitals still have more than their fair share of brainless automatons enforcing ROUTINE STANDARD PROCEDURES which have no relation to reality.
It was right after this incident 24 yrs ago that I opted out of the American Health care system. I had the rest of my babies at home, with midwives, no circumcisions, no silver nitrate in the eyes, no fluoridated vitamins, no immunizations, no well baby checks-ups. Guess what? The sky didn't fall. No one got a Terrible Disease. They all turned out fine and (mostly) healthy.
And my uncircumsized sons have not had any real trouble from the lack of that surgical procedure....

Many did not realize that it is "MEAT factory" run by butchers from Doctors Labor Union (ANA)!
It is all about cash flow .... for those who are selling snake oil.

Please provide me with objective evidence that it is NOT injury caused by "environmental exposures" causing disregulation of neurotransmitters (i.e. cholisteranase).
