I saw the dr. yesterday and even though I have been on high b.p. medication for the last three months, my pressure was extremely high. Now he wants me to take a much stronger type of medication. I have been doing the SR with centerpointe tapes for about three weeks, and wonder if that could possibly cause the increase in my b.p. Also I saw in the posts about mineral salt. Where can I find this as I looked in the grocery store but couldn't find it. I did find sea salt, is this the same type of thing?

Hi Anne,
I can't answer your BP question, but I know that mineral salt and sea salt are not the same. I believe mineral salt has more minerals than sea salt. It looks more like sand than regular salt. You can find mineral salt in the health food store. The brand I use is Kal.

Hi, Anne.
How is "high"?
Your SR will take about 6 months to help you very much & about a year to think of getting off your medication (depends on my first ?).
The tapes could not make your pressure go UP.
For now, I would recommend you take the stronger medication (READ THE PACKAGE INSERT!)

Hi Anne,
The brand of mineral salt I get here in the health food store is called "Real Salt" by Redmond Minerals Inc. Maybe you can ask your local health food stores to stock mineral salt. On another note, our store is often out of it when I go in to get some, so perhaps your store sells it but runs out quickly.

They took my b.p. 3 times. The highest was 175/118. The lowest was 172/113. I have decided to take the stronger medication and have read your posts where you have recommended S/R three times a day. I will make a strong effort to do that as it seems my b.p. is very high. This after already taking Diovan, 3 weeks of centerpointe tapes and 3 weeks of whole-foods diet with exercise 3 times a week. When I went in to see the doctor I was expecting to have lowered pressure and I was very shocked that it was as high as it was. Thanks for your response. Anne

I was wooried about my BP and tried all the herbs and aminos
to lower it. Things like Hawthorne, Kava, Valarian, St Johns
and L-arginine. I wasn't sure if I was reaing it right
with a stethescope/gauge tester so bought a digital. It has
been as high as 175/110 but usually comes down. Not sure
what has really helped and seems like just reaching for the
tester and puting it on can increase pressure. I even think
pumping up the manual bulb can increase it so I would have
bought an auto inflate if I bought another but pump it up
slowly with the other hand.
I was checking it Many times a day but have tailed off
since it isn't a worry now. I had started lifting weights
and was very concerned.

Anne,
Maybe you should give the Centerpointe folks a call and tell them about your rise in blood pressure. Since Centerpointe can cause symptoms to worsen before they get better, why is it not a possibility that Centerpointe has triggered your recent rise in blood pressure? Some people have breathing difficulties, or feel pain in the body, or worsening of a symptom, when they first start Centerpointe. Maybe they can at least tell you if this has been reported by others...
Either way, I hope this is just a temporary rise and your BP returns to a more normal level very soon.

Hi, Anne.
This IS pretty high all right. How long has it been about that high (so far as you know)? It takes even this high BB about 10-20 years to cause the complications of heart attack, stroke, kidney damage or enlargement of the heart. SO, you still have time to deal with it.
The essential oils on the home page cannot harm this problem and might give you some relief in a month or so. Certainly all the conventional research, NOW being reported, agrees that SR is a major way to control high BP. At least it would cause you to need less medicaiton to get the same results.
The healthier you are the easier it will be to control your pressure. SO, the information about wellness (on this 'site) would help as well.
Let us know how you do.
