Dr. Stoll, I was wondering if there is any connection between some cases of Interstitial Cystitis and low thyroid function.
Since taking thyroid medications, I no longer have IC, TMJ, aches and pains, clenched muscles, etc. You mentioned that IC was a disease of a person unable to relax. Apparently hypothyroidism can cause a person to not be able to relax, even in the involuntary muscles (such as high blood pressure being caused by hypothyroidism).
Do you think some patients might benefit from having their thyroids checked, if they suffer from IC? I know my thyroid meds sure cured a lot of my ailments, including IC.

I do not mention stuff like this since just treating the thyroid is only treating the tip of the iceberg that is causing the rest.
IF the only thing you do is treat the thyroid, your symptoms may stay gone for as long as a few years but then, though you continue with the thyroid support, the symptoms will start coming back.
You would be WAY AHEAD of the game if you started dealing with your stress-effect storage problem while you are feeling better.

Intestinal cyst is an indication that your bloodstream has come "Toxic". You more than likely have a Systemic Candida problem, which is the "Root Cause" of your toxic bloodstream.

I'm not sure I understood...are hypothyroidism and IC just manifestations of a root problem? Is that what you are saying? Or am I misinterpreting it? I have had alot of stress in my life (raped frequently as a child, etc.)....

By the way, if you will look at your note, to which this is a response, you will see that your note was NOT a response to your own note but to one of ours. The reason this is important is that responses are hard for the poster to find if they are not posted to what they are responding to.
