I have IC and have read through the archives (could not find the last 3 months), and read that the idea on bracing as the cause has been around for a number of years. I would like to read more about or more specifically the person(s) who developed or researched this. If there are any books or places on the internet to read more, I'd appreciate it.
thank you, claire

Hi, Claire.
The best resource for this information would be the biofeedback organizations I have listed so many times. Also, the manufacturer of the specific attachments for dealing with this exact problem would have reams of research explaining why they went the bother to actually develop instruments to do this.
I still say that total body SR is less expensive and, in the long run, more effective than any localized approach.
If you are a testimonial person, you could put a note on the BB & title it something like "Relaxation Testimonials for IC?". That is likely to give you more personal experiences of the effectiveness of this approach (after years of conventional treatments and persistance of recurrences) than you waant to hear.
Let us know what you learn & how you do.
