Once you have a UTI, is there anything, other than taking antibiotics, that can cure the infection? I have been on three different antibiotics and still have the infection. Thanks for your help.

Hi, Susan.
The answers to this question depends on MANY factors; most of which need to be determined by whoever made the diagnosis AND whoever is treating you. After the second antibiotic any competent physician should start suspecting an underlying cause.
You need a cystoscopy (with a culture taken directly from the bladder during the examination) and at least an IVP. Your doc should know enough for you to be off all antibiotics for several days before taking the culture.
Also, I would need to know (as any competent conventional physician should have asked) how many other urinary infection you have had in your life, how hard they had been to treat, etc., etc.
Once you know the results of the above tests, write again.
