Abdominal area pain

Posted by MP on March 03, 1999 at 12:49:37:

Hi Dr. Stoll.

I'm the one who supposedly has the bladder/kidney infection. I've been on augmentin for 5 days now and I have a question. For the past 6 months or so, every time I cough, sneeze, blow my nose, etc. I get pain below my naval to above my pubic bone. It feels very tight or something there too, I can't explain it. It also hurts to press on it. Is this pain the bladder? Normal for a bladder infection? Should I be concerned? Thanks.

Dear M.P.,

IF you have had bladder infection for that long it easily could be the reason for those symptoms.

The reverse is true as well. If the symptoms were caused by the bladder infection, they should go away almost immudiately when the infection is gone.

Walt
