My Appointment with the Iridologist

Posted by Sapphire [422.1366] on July 29, 2005 at 17:12:03:

A good friend of mine who is very bright and not one to be gullible, and who also has health problems, went to an iridologist. She said the iridologist diagnosed all of the health problems she had, simply by looking at the irises of her eyes. My friend said it was like visiting a psychic because the iridologist was so right on. I've always been skeptical about iridology, but my friend was so persuasive that I had to give it a try.

The iridologist used a special camera, kind of like something you'd see at the opthalmologists office, which was positioned right up to the front of the eye. Both eyes were photographed, and the images were sent directly to her computer. The pictures of both eyes appeared very large on her computer screen. She pointed out each part of the iris, explaining how each part represented a different part of the human body (the left eye diagnosed parts of the body on the left side, and the right eye related to the right side of the body). She also used a special computer program to find patterns in the iris that were difficult to see by human eye.

What she knew about me from only looking at my eyes was pretty amazing. She noted a few things which probably could be said about a lot of people with health problems: fatigue, thyroid problems, etc., so I figured these could be lucky guesses. But she also said things that seemed beyond lucky guesses, and all in all, I was very impressed with her. She said there was scarring in my right ear drum; true because I've had two tubes inserted in that ear drum, but none ever inserted in the left ear drum. She saw fluid under my left knee; this is the same knee that has been plaguing me with problems. She noted tightness in my lower back: check, I've been working on a machine at the gym lately which has been causing muscle tension in my lower back and never had lower back tightness till now. She also told me things about my body that I didn't know. Her charge was $65. She had extensive knowledge about natural healing remedies, and gave advice as to where I could purchase her recommendations (she didn't sell products herself.)

Another friend of mine involved in the holistic health field explained that the feet, hands, ears and eyes are like holograms of the rest of the body. I just did a search on the topic and found Dr. Stoll's very informative and fascinating discussion on this:

Hi Sapphire:

That's wonderful. I'd say you got your money's worth. How many psychics would charge twice as much and be half as accurate?

Two questions...

Did she see you walk into the office?
Did you discuss anything with anyone else in the waiting room.

I wonder if a completely well person were to have your
testing, whether that person would be told that there were many things wrong as well?

This is so fascinating Sapphire.
You may have found your ticket to complete health. That price is phenominal. I had to pay $175.00 to have a very young doctor, at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, take a three-minute look at a bee sting. You got yourself a deal!!

Does she have an office up in the San Francisco bay area or any referrals in this location? Perhaps you could just give me her website if she has one, and I can ask her by email?

Thanks and congratulations,
gabs

I know, if only she could tell me the winning lotto number ... guess there's some things the iris won't tell ;-)

Hi Ron,

There was no one else there to talk to. This woman worked out of her home. She saw me walk in the front door, but I look like the picture of health and nothing about my appearance or demeanor would suggest any illness whatsoever.

Probably not very many healthy people go to an iridologist, because who would spend the money if they had no health problems, right? This woman seemed straight and honest. I have no doubt she is on the up and up. I think if someone had no health problems, she would find little or nothing to report... just my opinion.

Thanks

Assuming that this computer technology can spot many problem areas in the body, it would a great next step to develop it to make it able to determine an effective individual plan for fixing the problems.

Could you ask her how much this system costs and where it could be purchased? This could a good business which would make money and help people. One could charge relatively little and provide people with an opportunity to quickly and frequently monitor effectiveness of their health related activities.

Hi Sapph,

I went to an amazing iridologist afew years back.

Hubbie also tried out her protocols, and his eyesight improved so much, he had to get weaker lenses. The ones he had, had become too strong for him, due to changes he made with diet, etc

Hi Sapphire,

this knowledge is very old. There were not that many tests in the past. When I was about 14 teen, my mom took me to the homeophatic doctor with some problems. He didin't ask questions, he only checked your eyes for his diagnosis. That was part of his work, his tool. Now you have to pay extra for that. I hope it works for most people, it could be big help.
He was famous for dissolving gallbladder's stones too.

Hi Gabs and Michele, When I talk to my iridologist, I'll see if she knows anyone in your areas and will post that info. But until then, here's a link to the International Iridology Practitioners Association; they can give you info on how to find an iridologist near you.

Hi R.,

When I next talk to my iridologist I'll see if she seems open to giving this info. But until then here's a link to iridology schools and maybe one of them could give you this information, or point you in the right direction. I looked at a couple of websites with iridology equipment and the type of equipment available and the costs seems to vary. Check out this link:

Hi Matylda,

This iridologist I saw seemed to combine age old wisdom with new technology, which may be even better. She could tell a lot just by looking at my eye, but the computer seemed to give additional information that was missed just by looking at my eye herself. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Hi Saphire, I've been to an excellent iridologist in the Modesto California area. Her information about me was right on. I wouldn't just go to anybody that does Iridology. I would only go to someone who is recommended to me.

I don't live in the area anymore, but the woman I went to has a months waiting list to be seen.

Quite possibly, I could call her if I got a number. But people's networks aren't always based on geography. Your person may have various reasons and circumstances for knowing other, well-respected people in her profession that happen to be located outside of her general vicinity. It happens a lot.
