Here the nights are getting colder, and Mars is bold and yellow
among the white light of the stars in our dark moon desert sky. I
heard Mars was close, astronomically speaking, so I got up to check it
out and was mystified, as always, by the majesty of the heavens.
Happens every time.
Wherever we are on Earth, we share the same sky, a fact that belies
the contentious separation and isolation that seems to rule these
days. In the same way, all humans share a common inner universe no
less vast and awesome than the skies above. God lives in both
places, and here we are, smack-dab in the middle (where God also
lives), wandering about, half lost or worse, looking for God, like we do
a pencil, forgetting to look up or look within…in the same way we
forget the pencil is right there behind our ear. Can you hear God
laughing?

Gosh, Jim, you took words from my mouth...
I've been especially amazed by the skyscape during the last few months--a truely magnificant view from my mountain top...and I often get lost in a bliss while enjoying the brilliant star-lit sky...
During the summer months, I slept ourdoors, right under the sky. Gosh, you can't believe the pleasure of being lost among the stars before falling asleep. Sometimes during the night, I woke up and my eyes were welcomed by the amazingly beautiful stars...words can hardly describe that blissful state for me, except that I'm just extremely happy, content, and feel like I'm ONE with the whole universe and being loved by the whole universe...
Of course, you do a wonderful job conveying such feelings, Jim :)

Hi Jim,
Ahhh. The joys of living in the desert! Enjoy!
Best wishes,

Sometimes I think He is crying.

Maybe, lissa, but I like to attribute the laughing image to the
deity...like this:

Yep, Jan, desert skies are as beautiful as your aspen, and ours is year
around.
Am I surprised you are sleeping under the stars, Bing? Nobody could
be less surprised. I know the free spirit you are. When synchronicity
abounds, Bing, it is a sign of being on the right track.
This raw food thing seems like the right track for me too, Jim. I had
forgotten you were into that. For me it has only been a month, but
the results are marvelous. I had begun to think I would never escape
some nagging health issues that the good old three-legged stool just
wouldn't resolve. Actually, the Stoll Stool does work, I just didn’t
think of whole food in terms of raw.
I've gotten support from the Silver Fox, S.H.A.P.E, and Thessa and
have, in fact, done two liver/gall bladder flushes with remarkable
results, and I am in the midst of a total system herbal detox. It has
only been a month or so, so I am not going to spout off more than I
have already, but connecting up with you, Bing, and Thessa after our
banter about meeting in the desert last spring, and the sudden
crossing paths now around this diet thing, for me, is a delightful
synchronicity.
I’ve had the pencil all along, Jim, but I just recently got lead for it…
that is, renewed energy from the diet and herbs.
My best to you all, and most especially you, Walt. All seems right
with the world when you are back on the board. I seem to have found
a path that works for me, and if it continues, I will share my
experiences, but I am mindful of Maxim #1 of the Hare Book of Self-
Healing: Everything seems to work...at first. We'll see how it goes
over time.

Awake, changing clocks and tearing up carpet under the stars.

Hi Jim,
Thanks. Fear of laughter has had a powerful grip on Christians down the centuries
A sad fact...Plenty of laughter in my church though. :-)

Hi Jim,
So raw foods have you in their grip, too.
I can hear Bing sighing already :)
I, too, have had nagging issues melt away, only to have them come back when my willpower sags. Thus, the only remaining question for me is the long-term issue: should one return to a more balanced approach of cooked foods after raw foods have performed their healing magic? I don't see why, but I'm open to what Bing has to say. Thus, back to my debate with her...
